I'm in more of the Rural Section of NY..... but we have no rednecks here that watch MMA to my knowledge.

* A middleweight contest between Alan Belcher and Wilson Gouveia has been changed to a 195-pound catchweight bout. The source said Gouveia asked for a 190-pound catchweight limit, but Belcher gave a counter-offer of 195 pounds, stating he was already at 195 pounds and didn't see the use in cutting extra weight.



I'm surprised by Mir's weight...he made the comment that he had to cut 20-25 lbs to make weight this time instead of his usual 250-255ish range. I don't know that adding weight will make much of a difference to fighting Brock, I honestly believe the guy could wrestle a gorilla to a draw, but it should help him with every other heavy out there.

btw...the world's strongest man won his fight by tko, 45 seconds into round 1. I haven't been able to find a video of it yet though.

I was honestly shocked he didn't try to just wrestle him from the bell. I expected him to try and grab him while the other guy threw punches and kicks and it just look like a "Big Baby" fight. lol
