shaping up to be an extremely solid card. i hope KJ Noons catches an ass whooping and that nick is able to leave the cage with his head still on his shoulders

kind of annoying that a chick fight will be on the main card and that a good matchup will be stuck on the prelims

If you haven't heard.

A lightweight fight between KJ Noons and Billy Evangelista has been scrapped from the upcoming Strikeforce: Miami card. Noons confirmed the news with MMA Fighting on this week’s edition of The MMA Hour, which will air on the Web site on Wednesday.

Noons (7-2) said he was recently informed by the organization that Evangelista suffered an undisclosed injury injury in training, forcing him to withdraw from the fight. The former EliteXC 160-pound champion added that he has been placed on standby for the Jan. 30 card in case someone else gets injured, but if that doesn’t happen, he will make his Strikeforce debut in either March or April.

Just rename this thread to 'the mma thread' and scrap the years on it since MMA has no seasons and is year round. Can remake it when the thread gets too large if it becomes a problem.

to be honest i cant really watch or enjoy mma because of this rematch. It was like that for the UFC before this fight and all the ufc's after it. LHW is by far the division to be watched since pride created a belt for it (and even before tbh)

LHW is actually my least favourite division. Basically all of the american top 10 UFC LHW guys are modeled after the Chuck Liddel style. Which is fine, but I love me a fight that's taking place everywhere.

Griffin, Evans, Rampage, Jardine, & Franklin are modeled after the Chuck Liddell style?



Not to mention there are more non-Americans in that weight class that are world-class and def. not Liddell style what so ever.

LHW is the most competitive division in the UFC right now and how are the top "american" fighters in the weight class modeled after chuck liddel, you really should explain that one. I also dont see what being american has to do with its popularity either, lol.
