Sonnen is only allowed to start training (commission suspension for injuries) like 3 weeks before the event and is cleared to actually fight like 5 days before the fight so it would be a big disservice to him to make him fight anderson when he can't be ready. Randy was the first who came to mind to fill that gap since he has been fighting often and he is somewhat deserving over other middleweights and he isn't injured but there is news of him set to fight rich franklin in a few months. Only other person I could think of at MW is Maia but I don't think that would work.

I can't really think of any LHW that would make a good fight but something is better than just moving him off the card. Maybe have anderson fight kongo at hw or something crazy like that.

Actually Thiago just lost his last fight to Rashad.

I think just scrapping the GSP vs Hardy fight (for obvious reason) and have GSP vs Silva NOW!!

no, i am serious when i say i want to see him keep fighting non top tier guys. i honestly hate watching him lose. he doesnt have anything left to prove, i am perfectly fine watching him beat up lesser guys.

oh snizzap mousasi has parted ways with M-1, no more suckasses convincing him he is not ready for the UFC. hopefully he finishes out his strikeforce contract quick as shit and comes over to run shit at 205 and heavy

Don't get your hopes up, it's guaranteed that no matter who he fights, Couture is losing next.

It's just his pattern. He hasn't won three fights in a row since 2001. He just won two in a row, time for another loss.

Maia is getting the title shot vs anderson, pretty excited for this. This is the kind of fight where each persons strength is quite a bit stronger than the other persons so each person faces huge danger either standing or on the ground.

If anderson doesn't start slow this could be a quick 1st round ko but if Maia can get this down he should be able to pass guard fairly easy and we could see a submission happen.
