I really hope they work out the Mayweather fight, 'cause I don't see anything else worth watching in Boxing.

I actually see Vera/Jones being a close fight.

Lots of stuff coming up in the next couple weeks. UFC on Versus, DREAM 13 early Monday morning, 111 next Saturday, and I believe a fight night card right after that.

I am very uncertain about both jds v gonzaga and vera vs jones. If Gonzaga doesn't have a plan to win this on the ground then he will most likely lose. If he does want to go for the sub I give him fairly good odds of winning.

Vera v jones is just very very interesting for me. There is really no way to know just how good jones is. Depending on where he falls on the spectrum of potential he can win or lose this fight and I won't be surprised unless he just walks right through vera and wins easily. For the most part I have been leaning to Vera winning this but it will probably be fairly close if he does. With a guy like Jones who can make significant and noticable gains every week or month this is a fight that he would win fairly certainly in a years time but maybe he is already at that level and we will find out this weekend.

If jones wins I think he should get a high profile fight against someone who isn't top 4-5~ material yet. Someone like a chuck or randy who are on the downside but are big names and would still serve a challenge would be good I think.

Vera just isn't athletic enough to keep up with Jones. I'm taking Bones Jones via explosiveness in the 3rd round.
