The highlight of the whole season was already shown. The French guy who quit...that is such amazing tv. I loved the way they built him up showing his "I want to show people the true spirit of French fighters" then BAM...he quits. It doesn't get any better than that. lol
that 3 round fight where dude got his orbital socket broke was a good ass fight.
Roy's training methods seemed to work

Hahaha holy shit. Please tell me he set up that picture after he KO'ed Struve for lulz.
Actually I'm not sure if it's funnier that he did it to mock the situation, or if he actually fucked around training like that. Either way is awesome.
no lol, that was him training to get through the reach before the fight
if this were after the fight the picture would be in burger king
I got to watch Jeff Monson train for Tim Syvia in Florida for their title fight a few years ago.
He trained the same way, with the gloves on the end of the pipes.
haha holy shit it is
The shoe was clearly his key to success.
If you can dodge a shoe you can dodge anything
Anyone watch the K1 show this morning? I dvr'd it and just got finished watching it. Overeem looked good, odd to me that he was fighting a month before he fights in Strikeforce...but to each their own. He likes fighting 293783 times a year. I was surprised to see Aerts get KO'd, I remember him being so dominate back in the day. I think everyone expected Schilt and Hari to win easily and they did. I really really hate the format they use for these cards with the intermission and looooooooooong intros/packages/etc. I fast forward through half of the show. lol

Dude is such a monster on his feet. Think he's going to beat Rogers?
I can only find the overeem fight so far. I'm not specific on the rules but were his 2 knees not from the same clinch attempt so the second one is illegal? I think you can only throw one knee then you have to break the clinch but the first knee seemed to have a half clinch and the he just added the other hand for the second. He did that in his last fight too.
The K1 rules about clinch are about half-retarded...but yeah, as of this fight you could throw one knee from the clinch then release and re-clinch to throw another knee. The last fight he released the clinch for about .5 seconds, then got it back and delivered the ko...this one he definitely threw both from the same clinch. The "new" K1 rules are no double hand clinching at all...you can single hand clinch though.
Overeem should beat Brett...he has a ton of experience on his feet and won't be overmatched weight-wise. I would like to see Overeem/Fedor before the year is out, but we'll see what happens. Barnett was on MMA Live, which...btw...is about the most unwatchable show on the planet, and said that he didn't do steroids etc. He came across as an idiot and so did Bas after ripping him apart the week before and kissing his ass this week. Barnett said that the Fedor fight will get done and maybe soon.
Assuming Overeem and Fedor win their next fights, I don't see how they could possibly not make it happen.
I do want to see Strikeforce sign Barnett, under the provision that he is blood tested frequently. He was the #2 HW on most lists before his last steroid test last year, I really want to see what he can do. I'd love to see him against the winner of the Arlovski/Antonio Silva fight next.
I like MMA Live too. Only MMA show that I can stand to watch tbh.
