LOL. I was serious. That Ref was slow. He got in 3 punches after the ref should have stopped it.

Nah I agree thats waaay late esp in comparison to the UFC one that was stopped on the other end of the spectrum.

it was slow but i think he gave him a bit extra time cuz he is the champ though, sort of like when lesnar was allowed to hit couture 30+ times with hammer fists.

I can understand why the ref took a while longer. I'm sure the fact that it was Torres fed into that a little bit. Nobody wants to be responsible for ending a 17 fight streak and taking a title away. But while it's alright to maybe give a second or two to see if he recovers, that was far too long.

Nick Diaz may or may not be en route to Los Angeles to take a mandatory drug test needed to complete his re-licensing for a welterweight championship bout against Jay Hieron this Saturday at “Carano vs. Cyborg” in San Jose, Calif.

Meanwhile, Jesse Taylor’s name has been submitted for approval as a new opponent for Hieron, according to California State Athletic Commission Assistant Executive Officer Bill Douglas. Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker confirmed to Sherdog.com that Taylor is the only fighter that has been presented as a replacement at this time.

Spike announced that they'll be doing a weekly "Best of Pride FC" show. I am actually really glad that Zuffa is using this property, I am a huge fan of a lot of the Pride fights and can't wait to see some of them again.
