I think Aki beats both of them. I think Aki could have ko'd wand with some nice counterpunching but I would have bet on a decision win. I don't think Aki can stop leben standing but he should be able to largely counterpunch a decision win or get a stoppage on the ground.
Unrelated but since this is the first I've seen this video online here is the Sandro Kanehara fight from Sengoku

I cant believe that guy beat KID goddammit
That's pretty friggin' brutal.
Joe Warren: Baddest Man on the Planet. F'ing love that guy.
Not gonna lie. I was pulling for Pitbull.
what did you guys score the first round of the warren fight
That fight, and Warren in general, seem to highlight some of the big faults in judging. The judges are too scared of giving a 10-8 round, someone has to practically die in the cage to get a 10-8. And what was shown in his last fight more than this one I think is that top control is given way way way too much credit in terms of points.
It's sad when you watch a fight and can see a fighter getting beat by a visible margin but they can get 1 takedown and do minimal work for a minute or so and you know at least 1 judge has just given the guy the round.
Does anyone know where you can find what judges scored rounds of fights that didn't go to decision (and lasted at least one round obviously). I want to see what they gave cain vs rothwell
I totally agree. It has become very noticeable recently, but has always been bad. The problem with a 10 point must system is that these fights are only 3 rounds...5 at most. It isn't like boxing where 12 rounds make it less important what one judge saw in one round. They have to change the criteria and do something about this...but they won't unless someone can put some pressure on the athletic commissions to do something. I would be very interested to see a few scorecards on fights that didn't go to decision.
Are you guys saying the fight wasn't close and could go either way? At the end of the fight I was ready to hear either name called out and I think a split decision was appropriate.
First round -- Definitely Pitbull all the way. Warren was destroyed and I could see 10-8 in this round for Pitbull. However, the announcers are right about 10-8 rounds being a rare thing in MMA considering you only have 3 rounds.
Second round -- I gave this one to Warren. For the first half of the round, Pitbull was winning the stand up but not dominating. Warren was the aggressor and he was getting in a decent shot in once in a while. Warren took him down at the two and a half minute mark and kept Pitbull there for the round.
Third round -- All Warren. In fact, I'm surprised you gave that round to Pitbull, noble. Warren got two takedowns (three if you count the last one before the bell) and kept Pitbull on his back 90% of the time. Pitbull was not aggressive, did not go for many subs, and seemed content to spend most of the time trying to stuff Warren's GnP rather than going on the attack. Plus he started to take some big shots at the end of the fight.
Fight was pretty even to me. But my earlier comment pimping Warren wasn't about him definitely winning the fight. It was because for whatever reason, the guy rubs me the right way.
Most of the time, I hate, hate, hate cocky bastards. Tito and Hughes immediately come to mind. But sometimes for whatever reason, some guy comes along, talks trash and I love it. BJ Penn is one guy like that for me. And now Warren is too.
I guess I love how this guy enters Dream with a very limited MMA skillset and talks crap all the way. Then he goes into Bellator with an even bigger mouth and only moderately more skilled. He's gotten caught in a lot of subs, some of them very very deep and he just never quits. He powers out of (almost all of) them.
Yeah, that first round is the perfect example of what a 10-8 round should be.
Cecil Peoples
Doug Crosby
Adelaide Byrd
Am I missing some of the other super retarded judges? I'm sure there are more - those three are utter morons however.
I meant second, not third. It was early. lol. I agree he won the third easily...but I thought pitbull won the first in such a dominant fashion that I don't see how you could possibly not score that 10-8. I watched it again today and still think he won the second, but it was a little closer than I thought after the first viewing. I don't mind warren at all...just think that was a bad decision.
fights starting. anyone watching?
Pulling for a Bam Bam upset.
This first round is excellent.
I'm watching, but I can't seem to get my stream feed going on my ps3 so I have to watch on my computer. This stream is working well: http://atdhe.net/15526/watch-strikef...edor-vs-werdum
Oh well. Good fight.
