Will all the Lesner haters plz stand up!
BTW where can i find post fight interviews etc. i left right when the fight was called to get the fuck outta dodge. parking there is terrible.
Not a hater, but I would've preferred a Carwin win.
Can just watch post fight stuff on the UFC site, easier imo... Also, hasn't started yet.
I wanted someoen to get knocked outBut yeah <3 Brock from WWE so gotta root for him!
PPV event @ BWW
No sir, vaca plans got pulled. Ill be at 119 and more then likely all of 2011+ Vegas ones.
- Fight of the Night: Chris Leben vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama
- Fight of the Night: Stephan Bonnar vs. Krzysztof Soszynski
- Submission of the Night: Brock Lesnar
- Knockout of the Night: Gerald Harris
They made up for giving Lesnar sub of the night by giving Leben/Aki fotn.
What a great night. The whole show was awesome. I had a house full of people, most of which only watch MMA with me or had never watched before. Everyone was really into the Leben/Aki fight as well as the main event. Got a huge pop when Harris hit that slam as well. People were standing up and yelling in the main event, cheering both guys on. Was awesome. Anytime I can get two Buddhists to stand and cheer violence...my work is done.
Bonus was 75k, didn't see it posted earlier. Carwin going to the hospital, they haven't said what is wrong yet. Maybe broke a hand is my guess.
Ya, it's nice when a breakthrough fan event actually performs well. It sucks getting people to finally give the UFC a try and then a slow card ruins it all.
Wait, 2 FotNs? That's awesome. Good on Dana.
Bonnar asking Sotiropoulos questions lol
I don't know that anyone hits harder than Carwin and he connected pretty damn flush with Lesnar. I think we're just seeing the beginning of Lesnar's transition. He is better every fight and shows us more. Having the awareness to transition from full mount to a "lesser" position to work a sub is some pretty advanced shit. Most people get so caught up on full mount that they don't think ahead. IMO...full mount is the most overrated position in fighting. I would much rather be in side-mount, so much more stability. I think JDS might be a better fight than Cain, but either of them is going to have a rough road to walk.
I could not agree with you more. And we saw this re-positioning in two fights tonight. It shows the fighters have not only matured, but are thinking more constructively in the heat of the match.
Just got done watching the post fight interviews. This is definitely a different Brock, and for the better. Not only for himself as a fighter, but for the sport.
Apparently Carwin was simply fatigued and nothing serious. Hyperventilated and upset... nothing more severe then that. Seeing as many fighters go to the hospital after the fight, I won't chalk this up to anything major.
Yeah Lesnar is improving so fast it's insane.
And it still amazes me everytime how fucking fast he is, they were also showing his first match against Frank Mir earlier today and the guy moves like someone who weighs 100 lbs less then he really is.
Where did you catch the interviews, i.e. any place to see them online? My roommate is a big lesnar fan but out of town this weekend with family, so I'm gathering up everything from the fight for him when he gets back on Monday.
Nvm found it on Sherdog, thank you DownloadHelper
