It seemed Chael for a minute wanted to refute he tapped and wanted to keep going while Anderson refused to let go because of it.
Yes I watched it all the way, my problem was with him saying sonnen "fought like a bitch" and "noone could touch silva". Come back when you no what the fuck.

You're really angry about this lmao. Nuthuggers are hilarious but please keep that shit out of BG, take it back to Sherdog.
To be fair, it was a pretty stupid comment. Sonnen was touching Anderson a whole lot.
Anderson is enough of a headcase to try to 'punish' Chael by holding a sub longer but seeing as how chael didn't seem to know the ref was there it's possible anderson didn't either.
Bummed Chael lost, have never been a fan of Anderson even from his PRIDE days.
I think Silva's mojo has worn off though and someone is going to take him out soon.
I'm pretty old(in my 30s). I competed, from the time I was 6 until I was 13 when I got into Tae Kwon Do. This was the 80's we trained to be well rounded, Nage Waza, Katame Waza and Atemi Waza, half of class time was Nage Waza half was Katame Waza and they only showed us Atemi Waza for taking the tests and not used in tournaments. Back then we had to sit and answer vocabulary questions then demonstrate the techniques they named and answer questions about the rules for rank advancement. In order to qualify for rank advancement you had to compete in tournaments x number of times.
I took Judo at the YMCA and we competed in the USJA. I don't recall if there were Tachi Waza and Ne Waza specific categories in the tournaments back then. We started in the standing position and if you threw someone and didn't get ippon you could try to pin them or submit them.
13 was the age when chokes were allowed in the junior division and I don't like to tap so I did get choked out a couple times. Back then I saw dislocated knees, elbows, shoulders and unconscious people carried off the mat. I clearly remember on instructor Sensei Duchet, he was one of those guys who lived in Japan and said he was training us like they do in Japan. He got me in an Ude Garami and I didn't want to tap, he took me right to the point where my elbow joint was going to pop out, I slammed the mat with my free hand once and he didn't let go. Told me if I am going to submit, submit. Make it clear! tap 2 or 3 times.
But I changed over to Tae Kwon Do, I got sick of the rules of competing. And I studied traditional Tae Kwon Do not the bastardized version people do just for point competition.
I'm 27 myself. I haven't done anything Judo related since I was 18 or so. Stopped once I went to college and just never got back into it. But I got to Canadian blue belt (which is just below brown). Our ranks were given out much the same as yours. We had an oral exam and you had to have a certain about of victories in the local tournaments once you hit orange belt.
I really don't remember any of the ground stuff, since we almost never trained it. Pretty much anything I know now is just from watching MMA. Mostly I just remember the throws and sweeps. I can still tell the difference between a sweeping hip throw and a floating hip throw.

Silva says he had broken rib/s. ( not just injured ).
GOD FUCKING DAMMIT CHAEL
Like him or not Sonnen actually backed up all the shit he talked. For once, an opponent forced Anderson Silva to work and stop clowning around in the Octagon. I hate Silva. I hate Sonnen. But to see that Sonnen wasn't just all talk has made me a fan.
Some kind of injury sure maybe, but I call bullshit on broken ribs. Silva would have reacted to the body shots Sonnen started giving him in the later rounds if his ribs were broken. As we saw from Dos Anjos the right kind of pressure on broken bones can end a fight very quickly. If Silva's ribs were truly broken he wouldn't have taken those kind of body shots without showing extreme pain and/or making some kind of attempt to get off his back. When they showed him walking off injured after it was all said and done it looked to me like a man who just had the shit beat out of him for 20 minutes, nothing more.
