I think that Sotiropolous is still at the top of the list being that he is probably better known from his TUF appearance and more televised bouts so far.
he is definitely the most accomplished but the next challenger is usually put into a #1 contender kind of bout so the fact that this isn't it makes me question if the ufc wants him to be the next guy

It's official, Gonzaga is Nietzsche reborn.

He also counters his argument with this:

I just read that myself. Pretty crazy news. I didn't think any NA organization would even attempt to touch him again.

Oh chael sonnen, how I love thee.

'If GSP said he wanted to fight me, the first thing I would say is the same thing I say every time I hear GSP talk: 'Dang it that guy sounds like a French-Canadian Minnie Mouse,'" Sonnen said. "That's the first thing I'd say. Then I'd say, 'Hey, GSP, let me ask you a serious question – do you have a designated driver? Do you have someone to get you home safely? Because clearly you are intoxicated.

"'GSP, do you have a hankering for pain? GSP, did you lose a bet with God? GSP, bring your $3,000 suit, bring your $3 date and get the three-cent tan knocked off your socialist back.' If you see GSP, give him that message for me."

"If Brock Lesnar was here right now, I'd take my boot off and throw it at him, and he'd better polish it up before he brings it back to me,"

Today was by far the coolest day at work I've had in awhile. UFC came to the Texas Capitol where I work for some photo ops. Got an email that a Texas State Representative was welcoming them to the Capitol. I got to meet Dana White, Chael Sonnen and Wanderlei Silva. Wanderlei is still on crutches from his knee surgery. The rep gave them a few gifts including a gavel and told Chael that he's welcome to use it on Anderson.

All three of them were really down to earth.

shit. I'm in Houston right now for the Brewers/Astros series, but immediately after the 1:05 pm game I'll be driving back to Austin-should be there around 7pm. I should totally go to this fight night. I see some tickets on craigslist, but that can be a hassle. I wonder what the best, cheapest, most convenient option would be to see the main event considering my situation would be.

I'm thinking Palhares will pull off some crazy arm snapping technique, in the midst of getting his ass handed to him.

There are almost always mez tickets available at the door...and if not there will be a ton of people outside with extras. I think that'd be your best bet for going to the show...otherwise find a bar and watch. Buffalo Wild Wings and Hooters always have the UFC's on.

I made it during the 2nd rd of miller fight, bought some $185 3rd row tix for $50 in the parking lot. Jim miller just gave his shirt to some kid on his way out of the arena right in front of me lol.

    More greasing drama lol

What a let down of a main event though. I was really pumped for that fight.
