Carano - saved by the bill , yes i mean it, if it went any other round her face would get smashed up. I don't like woman MMA and yesterday was the main example, those were suppose to be the best of woman MMA has to offer , and the fight had alot of fluky mistakes.


and Mousassi won as I expected, but didnt expect him to be this dominant.

my thoughts after this event is depressing, this is just the begining of a conflict era where both UFC and strikeforce will have dominant champions that cant fight each other... sad :s MMA should be a monopoly.

Thing is, Cyborg is only 24 and shows promise. If she continues to fight and learn I think she'll be pretty solid and well-rounded by 28 or so.

The 2 of them never really were top women in mma, though since that weight is so thin cyborg may be. The lighter weights is where most of the experienced women are.

I don't know many female fighters but Tara larosa may be the best fighter near the weight of gina and cyborg but she is I think 135~. A girl who is really fun to watch is Megumi Fuji who weighs probably 50 pounds but is a really slick grappler, I don't think she has fought top competition to really see how good she is but she is unbeaten in 18 fights.

This is the only highlight for her I could find, I think I've seen better ones but can't find them.

hmmm you know by looking at it in this gif, I think cyborg had her in half guard for a split second before carano went standing up, so thats probably the reason. still though she still didnt lock gina's leg so meh :S

She did have a legit full mount but the more aggressive you are with your striking the less you can defend against escape attempts which is what happened. Only when cyborg escaped did gina stand which I think may have been a mistake considering if she stayed on top she could have surived the round and won the round on the cards and potentially tired cyborg out a bit and be able to get some instruction from her corner and adapt on the fly.

Megumi is amazing to watch. Most of the top tier women fighters are 125 or 135, so unless Cyborg stops eating for a month or so...good luck.

yah, but as light as they are positions dont mean shit. So I would be thinking that as soon as i get mount to throw my hips in and lace our legs so she cant escape and cause it would be really hot.

I read a joke post on sherdog stating why gina's grappling looked so weak. It's because the guys she trains with aren't able to focus when they grapple and either try not to get an erection or try to get as much unintentional groping in as possible rather than work positions and technique.
