Who knows what kinds of hidden bonuses the UFC gives for exciting fights (often fights with finishes) so they may be financially rewarding excitement. To their credit they did hold off on signing antonio mckee until just recently (even though he would have earned his way into the UFC long ago but was too boring) when he finished 2 fights in a row for the first time in ever. The UFC also seems to let go boring fighters faster than exciting ones (jake obrien and elliot marshall are 2 that I can remember who were let go after boring fights and with just 1 loss I think) even if they lose just once but really only the peripheral fighters, if you are established it is unlikely they will cut you.
