    The only fighter ever to come out of my hometown is a guy named Jeff Joslin. After a bunch of random Quebec shows he fought against Koscheck once in the UFC then retired because of injuries. His gym is popular though. Everyone goes there.

    And yeah, the Torres cut was pretty messed up too. Benavidez fucked him up bad.

    I competed in his BJJ tournament two years ago in the beginner 160 and under division. Came 4th out of out of 48, lost my final match with scores being 1 to nothing for him (that point being a point I gave up for pulling guard).

    I just saw that news on ariels video with dana white on youtube. I was sitting down so I was only able to do an arm dance but that is great news and I'm surprised it's happening this fast.

    It will be interesting to see which LW's move down to 145 now that there isn't really a real negative, aside from that beast Aldo, from moving down and losing viewership by being out of the UFC.

    I'm actually disappointed with it.

    As an avid WEC watcher, I prefer nothing but small guys on a card. Throwing in a HW fight in the middle of it totally kills the pacing of it.

    Obviously it's great for the fighters though, so I can't complain that much.

    I've been wanting Okami to get a title shot since forever, he learnt a lot from both his recent losses as well. His problem is his tendency to stand and wang instead of pushing with his wrestling.

    I kinda agree, it was nice to watch WEC and not have to PPV or watch on PC. But now the weaker UFC cards will be better.

    Haha that's right, Sonnen took his place. Vitor was set to fight Okami for the #1 contender position, but then Sonnen got caught taking steroids, so they needed a new challenger right away. Vitor stepped up again, and Marquardt took his spot for the #1 contender against Okami.
