I was hoping for an actual gogo victory there... Shit never happens.

Barboza is too manly to be subbed by something so girly sounding
That's what makes it so bad ass. Real men win by girly named techniques.
"Now he goes for the Kung-fu move"... lol, 10th Planet technique names are just plain fucked.
Barboza watched the aldo vs faber fight to come up with the 'kick the leg until it dies' gameplan
Forrest vs Rampage, but less boring to watch.
is there such thing as a leg transplant?
Ask Faber lol.
Lullo should have known bringing his legs into this fight was a bad gameplan
quickly, learn to fight southpaw!
Leg Kicks don't end fights.
Good night all around. Catch you all next time folks.
Lame decision is lame.
Cue: bad judging, unified rules suck, up to the fighters to finish, leg kicks suck, rampage was the 'aggressor', could have gone either way... what else am I missing?
That ref needs to lose his job. So many breaks asking dude to stand. That was sad to watch.
Being able to speak English is the key to victory.
Successful leg kick finish is successful. Falcon Kick... To the leg, FTW!
Horrible decision was horrible. If even Rampage admitting he lost isn't enough for nuthuggers and shitty judges then this shit is a lost cause. Awesome card for the most part but shitty decisions just feels like it's becoming more and more common.
You really think he lost? At best I think it was a draw.
Machida was constantly waiting to counter and it never really paid off imo. At least Rampage was moving forward and trying to strike. What I don't understand is why Machida gave up on the kicks. Rampage wasn't doing anything to make him stop. Also, when Machida had him down he never really capitalized on his position and even gave up a good position for no reason at one point. It didn't seem like he bounced back well from the loss but I didn't see that fight so idk.
Because blind aggression doesn't equate to a win? Because random power shots to the air doesn't equate to precise counter-striking?
I give Rampage the second round but Machida squeezed out the first, unless we're going back to the whole "leg kicks don't mean shit" argument. Not even going to address the third since that should be obvious to everyone. The position you're probably talking about was Machida in the third giving up his full mount to go for an armbar, which in itself should shut haters the fuck up about Machida never trying to finish. Not really sure what you mean by this anyways since Machida owned that whole round, with or without the takedown. Even a draw would have been a more plausible view from a legitimate judge's perspective.
Seriously, even Rampage was surprised as shit when his name was announced. I've said it before and I'll gladly say it again, I'm so happy I don't pay for this shit.
I agree that good counter-striking is better than pointless aggression. The thing is when countering isn't working you need to move on to something else. If not you just end up dancing back 90% of the time and it looks bad if you can't close the deal when you finally counter.
I would have given him the first round if he had actually worked the leg more. It was like he kicked a few times, saw Rampage wasn't going to do anything about the kicks, and then stopped. It made zero sense to me. Maybe I just need to watch the fight again.
The position I'm talking about was when he could have fullmounted by swinging his leg over Jackson's knee but moved his leg back instead. Joe actually commented on it but I can't remember which round it was.
Don't get me wrong the judging in UFC can be awful but I really do think this one was a tossup or draw. There was no clear winner in my mind so either way you would have had people bitching.
