Apparently there's talk of Omigawa coming over to the UFC again and fighting Mendes. Japan's making their comeback. The Fireball Kid has yet again made it cool to like Japs.

Wow, I figured Omigawa would fight in japan for a new years show first but I guess not. I'm not sure if I like the Mendes fight. I'd have liked to see him against less of a wrestler first so the fans would get to see what he can do. If he gets smothered for the whole fight it won't make fans very interested in seeing him again.

Yeah, Mendes is a terrible first match up. Plus people have already seen Mendes and try to avoid him like the plague. "Some Japanese UFC washout" isn't going change that too much really.

Might be old news, but just read today that UFC is now legalized in Ontario and 131 will be held in Toronto on April 30th. FAPFAPFAPFAPFAPFAPFAPFAP

Yeah, saw that Miller video earlier. Shit's going to be hilarious the back and forth between those two if Diaz bites.

At the UFC 131 announcement, it's hard to look at what title bouts would be realistically possible besides Cain/JDS. This is going to be the biggest UFC event of all time so you would think they'd want a stacked card. Too many fighters, albeit the popular ones, would be out of the picture with an April 30th date. When I read the news I thought, "oh cool awesome!" but then I did a huge "huh?" when I saw the date.

Ubereem is now the K1 Grand Prix champ and Strikeforce champ...first ever K1/mma champ at the same time. He beat Aerts to win.

Ubereem hype will now be on overdrive. Some people are going to argue the Tyrone fight and the whole double-clinch knee debacle but there's absolutely no question the guy rocked Aerts hard to win. It's times like this that make me wish he was in the UFC that much more, it's an MMA tragedy that we probably won't see him fight again until 2012, maybe.

ive only seen his efrain fight but it was so awesome. i was an instant fan
