Fedor says he is involved with the business but it wouldn't surprise me if he was less involved than he says and the information he receives is filtered by M1 to make them look better and worth keeping around.

I just think it's retarded how they (M-1) always want to take over everything. If you look at the HW tournament poster it shows Fedor in full fuckin form and he isn't even the champion. Plus the M-1 logo right next to Strikeforce. Do these guys like put in a shit ton of money and resources when the event actually goes down? What earns them the right to put that shit all over the others, including the champ Overeem? It should be him on the cover with the belt. I know Fedor is the real big draw of the bunch, but it just goes to show that M-1 probably made the flier part of negotiations.. Ugh I hate them. Fedor either needs to drop them or gain a lot more control in the decisions and what is said "for" him.

Alex has come out publicly and TRASHED m1 and the fink saying they're hurting fedor.
It isn't untypical in russia though for mobsters like the fink to control their athletes, just a different mindset I guess.

There's no way. Barnett will take him down and hold him there until he does something stupid and gets subbed. Rogers doesn't have anywhere close to enough experience to handle a wrestler like Barnett.

Hell, 3 of Barnett's 5 career losses have come to Crocop (in his prime) - who, if nothing else, can stuff a takedown like no other.

Thing is I hate forrest as a person. He beat an out of shape shogun, Rampage, and was beating rashad until he got pwned. I feel like all of that is superior to anything Rich Franklin has done.

Since there seems to be a fair amount of Overeem fans here, how well do you think he would fare against UFC's heavyweight? JDS, Cain, Lesnar in particular.

Cain beats him fairly easily. Wildcard being the uberknee and if he can land it or not.

Lesnar could win a 3 round fight if he sticks to wrestling but in 5 rounds Overeem has too many chances to land a shot that causes lesnar to crumble. Even with 3 rounds I favour overeem.

JDS has a lot of unknowns so it's hard to say. Overeem doesn't take hits well but JDS leaves himself open favouring offense over defense so maybe it's who hits hardest first. I'm not sure on this.

JDS-Overeem would be a really sweet fight. Could go either way in the stand up I think. Lots of back and forth.
Cain-Overeem I see Cain with the win, and I'm not even totally sold on Cain yet. He's just got the right style for him.
Lesnar-Overeem I see Overeem punching him in the face a lot.

The thought Overeem or Fedor in the actually fighting in the UFC is pretty insane. I hope after this tournament either of them just jump ship there.
