If Tim Kennedy can sub Prangley, Hoger can sub Prangley
If Tim Kennedy can sub Prangley, Hoger can sub Prangley
I see Prangley winning too. I think he'll be able to keep it on the feet and hammer out a decision there. Experience wins this fight.
Yup. Just watched an extremely overweight Tim Sylvia get humiliated again, guy should just retire. Tomorrow gonna see Nick Diaz either K.O or T.K.O Cyborg, then the next week Anderson vs VEETOR - Bader vs Jones, followed up by my birthday weekend, which Fedor will be fighting. :D
Aside from Anderson vs vitor, kid yamamoto is on the prelims...wtfffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff
If the Kid fight is any bit entertaining it will be the first prelim they show on tv and almost every ufc has room to show at least one of the earlier fights
Gracie had some good knees in the clinch, I think he has some good potential if he keeps at it. He can probably beat a bunch of people as it is by just rushing them and getting a TD while both aren't too sweaty.
Herschel Walker by black and athletic.
I thought he was explosive as well as those 2 things
wow, what an ending. cyborg won the first and was going to win the second. his cardio would have likely ran out not too long later but he was doing pretty good
wowza Cyborg you are a dumdum
Diaz has to be one of the most exciting fighters around but man is he limited. Still can't wrestle and his legs and body are wide open all day long. His boxing is terrific but I imagine a precision kickboxer like Thiago Alves would cripple him if a sloppy brawler in Cyborg had this much success.
Roger Gracie looked real solid, he has got to improve his cardio but his striking is improving and his grappling is obviously spectacular.
Jacare pulled out some beautiful stuff in that second round, surprised he was able to take down Lawler as easily as he was.
solid card.
omg that diaz fight, what a finish. motherfucker thinks he is indestructible though and it will absolutely be the death of him. i wonder when he will learn to wrestle, or at least attempt take downs.
torres, jones, spider. CANT LOSE PARLAY
check out ufc.tv and launch the player demo. it's a pretty cool way to watch ufc fights. you can choose which camera is being used which audio you want be it main audio or from a specific corner. pause and rewind and have split screen or picture in picture. The demo shows the first round of edgar and maynard and it was pretty surprising to hear the main guy in edgars corner screaming for the towel to be thrown in midway into the first round, it sounded like he was crying watching frankie get beat up.
I think in a couple years when you can stream in amazing quality and just hook it up to your tv using that kind of video player may be the way to go with how customizable it is
I just wanted to say Brazilian jujitsu/submission grappling is some hardcore stuff. Today was my first day of MMA training (though I've boxed for nearly a decade now and I've done Tae Kwon Do almost as long. I haven't been to either boxing or Tae Kwon Do for about two years though). I'm a 185 pound weight lifter and a little 145 pound high school kid choked me out multiple times tonight. I knew I was going to lose, but I didn't think it would happen so fast...
Edit: I did get one armbar victory because he felt sorry for me and walked me through it.
Jiu Jitsu is a humbling experience man. I wrestled my whole life and did pretty well. I boxed and took Mu Duk Kwan for 10 years or so. I started jiu jitsu and realized quickly that all that didn't mean shit on the ground. I think my wrestling made it harder for me at first because I wasn't used to guarding certain areas. My ex-wife is a bb in bjj and she was about 120 lbs and I walked around 210 or so when we were together. Her and I would roll every night and she could tap me out from angles I could never expect. Stick with it though, it's a ton of fun even if you're never going to compete.
was that gi or no gi (both woozie and noble)
No gi.
I've never grappled, though I'd like to try, but to me it seems like Gi bjj would be even worse for someone on their first day. With no gi you can get a sense of ways in which someone can submit you but with a Gi they could just collar choke you all day and probably tie you into a knot with your own belt
