Weidman looked pretty good for a true newbie (2 years of MMA training?). Hadn't heard of him before but with some stand up training, and maybe work on his double, he can go places. Heard he almost beat Galvao in ADCC too, pretty nuts.
anyone come across a gif of when kampmann exploded diego's face in the third?
Zuffa decided to pull my stream last night, luckily though it was with 1 minute left in the 3rd round of Sanchez vs. Kampmann.
You got me dana!!1
Any idea where to find a stream for SF tonight?
http://mma-tv.net/main.php The site I normally use didn't have the versus card last time but that link always does
Old men can still fight.
I can't even imagine getting hit with that right hand flush; it just grazed the chin of Feijao.
Starting up the Bellator card now, hoping Good can keep rolling.
Too tired and too late to watch Bellator, I'll watch it tomorrow... I need Rick Hawn to win though. It's manditory.
omfg zuffa just purchased strikeforce. ariel helwani interviews dana about it here http://www.mmafighting.com/2011/03/1...s-strikeforce/
well that's an interesting roundabout way to sign fedor
All I can say is... LOL
Just came back from a two week field exercise just to see to this news and all I can say is HOLY SHIT! So many possibilities, hopefully the contracts transition over smoothly. The asshole in me wants to say that Fedor's ass-whooping and early departure from the GP had something to do with SF going this route lol.
Dana really wanted Nick Diaz
Diaz v Daley is now official also. Dana said that Strikeforce would operate "business as usual" until their tv contract expires...in 2 years. This creates some really fun matchup possibilities and, in a round about way, may help women's MMA get more mainstream.
Holy shit, Zuffa really is taking over the world.
Just watched the interview now and it was interesting to hear Dana say "We will not Co-promote... Even though we own it (SF)".
So I guess nothing really changed for the fans, until a fighters contract runs out. And even then it may not change.
I give it a year and a half before they fold into the UFC. Should be some awesome fights.
