Jones gonna be champion for a long time. Nigga is ruthless, kicking in knees and shit. Of course Rampage gonna be scared as fuck to go in. Who the fuck else has ever done that? Real talk.

haha he was doing that shit to shoguns busted up knees i was like damn bones thats so cold.
Didn't get to hear any of the talk afterwards because everyone was so god damn loud. So, Machida vs Evans rematch then winner for title shot?
Evans vs Jones next fight.
Rampage wants to fight Shogun in Japan for the Feb 12 card.
Just saw the card for UFC 139
Shogun vs Hendo
Wandy vs Cung fuckin Le
That should be great
Nam Phan and Leonard Garcia rematch, pretty amped for that one also. Ty for the info ^
We're still waiting on Anderson vs GSP lol
anderson v jones is a MUCH better fight than anderson v gsp. gsp is too small for that shit.
jones just referenced his running in the presser, said he needs to work on his slipping and evasion because tonight he was running like a little girl.
some of this Jones hype is getting pretty silly
Rampage lost to Machida, even he admitted it, and didn't look particularly good against Matt Hamill.
And if he couldn't handle Forest Griffin's kicks how was he going to handle Jones's
I am curious as to how Jones's gimmick strikes will work against Evans and Machida, he still makes a fuckton of fundamental striking mistakes when throwing and only his reach and his opponent's trepidation allows him to get away with it. starting to look like Anderson Silva? lolz get the fuck out of here.
his grappling is terrific though, awesome wrestler, slick transitions, heavy GnP, and a very aggressive and creative submission game.
Machida got the best style to take out Jones imo.
ADCC winners:
Absolute - Andre Galvao
Over 99 - Vinny Malgahaes
Under 99 - Dean Lister
Under 88 - Andre Galvao
Under 77 - Marcelo Garcia
Under 66 - Rafael Mendes
Women's Over 60 - Gabi Garcia
Women's Under 60 - Kyra Gracie
Marcelinho owns under 77 with an iron fist for all time. Shame he didn't try his hand at absolute this year.
The hype is well deserved. No other fighter has looked as good as he has in his ascension. he has NEVER been in danger. he is too long and strong for machida. if rashad can catch his kicks and shoot on him he may have a chance, he will promptly gas in the third though.
He hasn't even fought the best in the division yet and people talk like he has to fight Anderson or move to heavyweight for a challenge.
Not his fault obviously, I kinda like him and consider him #5 P4P.
And Machida has a pretty good style for him. That leaping left cross blasting straight down the pipe could catch Jones as he always drops his hands when he throws punches and if anyone can figure out the range problem it's Lyoto.
But Machida will have to show he's learned how to deal with kicks, Rua kicked his base to pieces in their first fight. And he'll have to stay upright.
Someone that long and strong, with good leg kicks and great wrestling, is a scary thing. He does need to reign in his hand positioning quite a bit, but his creativity has helped him a lot so far. I think he knows that it may get him into trouble and as long as he takes "smart risks" I think it's fine.
he got a title shot, won the belt, defended the belt. how is that not fighting the best in the division? obviously he hasnt cleaned it out, but the fact that there are only two fighters being mentioned that MAY give him trouble in the division speaks pretty clearly to what a beast he is.
Because he hasn't fought the best fighters in the division yet? Kind of self-explanatory. Jackson got a title shot by losing to Evans, getting a gift decision against Machida, and looking bad against Matt Hamill, and Shogun had no knees and gassed out in the 2nd round.
Top 5 in the division, in my eyes, are Jones, Machida, Evans, Hendo, and Shogun. He's beaten 1 of the other 4 and that 1 was in a weakened state. I'm not one for discrediting wins, but Shogun looked like shit coming back from the Coleman injury and again coming back to fight Griffin and again coming back to fight Jones. The dude just doesn't come off injuries well, see Griffin 1 vs Griffin 2 for the difference.
Like I said I have Jones ranked #1 in the division and top 5 P4P but apparently that's not enough when you point out why he isn't GSP/Anderson status yet. Hell he hasn't done more than Aldo or Cruz.
point im trying to make is you said his hype is silly. i think that he has earned it is all. if you have him top 5 p4p and #1 at light heavy then you obviously think very high of him. i dont think he needs to be out there wrestling bears with his hands behind his back to prove his greatness, but compared to hype machines like overeem i think jones deserves all the credit he is getting.
Forgotten name in the LHW division is Paul Davis. He was actually supposed to fight Rashard before injuries and honest opinion, I think he can beat Rashard only if Rashard makes a mistake or two though. As for Jones, I think he's gonna kill Rashard. That reach is gonna be a problem.
Phil* Davis but yeah, he's getting slept on son.
