I will be honest I am not a fan of bjj based fighters.

I like bjj fighters when they win more often than not because it's interesting to see how they manage to beat someone that knows their exact gameplan but can't defend against it. When they just try for ugly takedowns non stop it's not so interesting.

Yeah, the only problem is that most (not all) MMA fighters have pedigree's that involve submission defense and basic submissions. Fighters that come from excellent jiu-jitsu backgrounds and make that their primary focus usually get the shit kicked out of them by other people who have trained jiujitsu to a high level and then primarily focus on static combat (boxing, muay thai)

I have always had the belief that boxing and wrestling are the foundations for MMA while jiu jitsu/muay thai are supplimental.

I like bjj guys who have offensive and exciting styles like maia and hazelett. Hardly care about guys like leites or aurelio

Shields vs. Mayhem is for the middleweight belt now. Cung Le is stepping down as champion to do another movie. ESPN is saying that Chicago is going to be the town that Strikeforce chooses for the CBS show.

TUF 10 did a 4.3 rating last night...highest ever in the series and the highest for a Spike original show ever. Either Kimbo is a bigger draw than I thought...or the popularity of this sport has risen to a point that we didn't imagine it could so quickly after UFC 100.

Late. Dana was on Jim Rome yesterday. He talked about how Rampage was throwing away millions to be in movies, and how Chuck was training harder for DWTS, than he ever did for fights.
