This fight is making people realize that instant replay is needed in this sport for stoppages like that. The bad thing is that for a lot of changes that should really be made it takes a robbery/something bad to happen to even get the commissions to admit it is a problem.

It's only a matter of time until an eye poke fucks up a big fight because of the rules surrounding it.

Word. Makes no sense things like the Mackens/Peralta headbutt is considered a NC, but the King Mo/Gracie headbutt is a win for Mo simply because the ref never saw the headbutt in the Mo fight. Refs can't always see everything, and instant replays would fix a lot of the problems with bad calls. Things like fake knees to the head (Cerrone/Varner) etc need to stop happening in MMA.

Maia won't need GnP because the only way he gets on top is by sweeping. It's a tough fight for sure, Weidman is just one of those guys who naturally gets grappling and that's probably enough to stay safe on top. Maybe Maia takes the back in a scramble and then gets on top that way or just rides out time with back control.

Demian plants basically everyone he fights on their ass. Sonnen/Munoz/Miranda, all excellent wrestlers and all planted on their asses. I think Weidman is just another animal when it comes to grappling though. He picks up shit so disgustingly fast it's unheard of. I really do believe Chris can out grapple any MW in MMA, and that includes Palhares and Jacare. We'll see though.

Bisping is gonna get worked by Sonnen. I'm hoping Sonnen wins solely because I know that if Bisping wins, he won't have shit for Anderson. Bisping likes to box and Anderson likes to strike. That fight wouldn't last long. Although, I'm not sure Sonnen will have the same fortune against Anderson this second time around assuming he beats Bisping.
