samesies will be interesting to see Jim's top control against someone so aggressive from his back. maybe Nate will be able to use his range to keep it standing. Jim is rather stubby. at least i picture him to be stubby. I bet he isn't that stubby.

I see Miller over Nate... But then I saw Cerrone over Nate too, so who knows.

Dana White calls out Internet hackers, they respond by releasing his alleged personal info
    By Steve Cofield

The war is on between the UFC and Internet hackers.

On Sunday, UFC.com was re-routed several times to the website UGnazi. The site's organizers, who White called terrorists several times during the "UFC on Fox 2" press conference, said the hacking of UFC.com is a result of the company's support of SOPA and PIPA. The wide-ranging bills are aimed at stopping online piracy.
White lashed out at the hackers.

"Keep hacking our site, do it again. Do it tonight," said White. "These guys look like terrorists now and a bill that was about to die, is about to come back."
The hacker taking credit for the UFC hit, @joshthgod, went a different route after the challenge, posting White's personal info, including a Social Security number, a list of residential addresses, a vehicle identification number and a personal phone number.
That followed a tweet that said White is now the target.

"@danawhite We don't want your site anymore. We are going after YOU! Follow me for tonights exciting events! #ufc #sopa #acta #pipa,"

White said the hackers are only hurting their own cause by alerting politicians that there's a serious issue. He's willing to risk his own safety to stop the online pilfering.

"Is SOPA the perfect bill? No, it's not. The only thing that we're focused on is piracy. Piracy is stealing. If you walk into a store and you steal a gold watch, it's the same as stealing a pay-per-view. I don't care what your twisted, demented idea of stealing is," White said. "These kids who grew up on the Internet never had to pay for anything, so they don't think that you should have to."
White closed by saying he's not afraid of the Internet, it's where cowards live.

Not to turn this into another SOPA thread but he's got a point. This generation who grew up on the internet is fucktarded to all holy hell lol.

He's equating streaming a UFC fight to stealing a gold watch - it's not the internet generation that is fucktarded.

How many PPVs do you guys buy a year vs watch online for free? I buy each PPV I care about...so prolly 6-9 a year and watch the rest online. Not trying to start an argument, just honestly curious about this question.

Ironically, I could've probably bought a nice watch with all the money I've saved from not buying PPV's.

I buy maybe one a year but will sometimes pitch in with friends for one. Watch the rest on streaming but honestly if tomorrow all streams were gone, I probably wouldn't see a lot of the events.

My brother buys them sometimes, or we go to a bar to watch them. If I'm home and actively posting during an event, that means im at home.

I'm on the same boat. I'm not gonna pay 50-60 bucks to watch a PPV event alone. PPVs are only worth paying for if you're with a group and everyone chips in.
They're 2-3 hour events. Not even close to being worth price of admission.

dbl post: speaking of bars, that's something I need to get into for sporting events period. MMA in particular since it's the only sport I'm fond of atm.

I usually have 5-10 people over for shows...but there are times when just me and one or two others will watch. I prefer to watch any sport with a few people around to discuss. I have gone to sports bars to watch before, but found that the crowd in most places is pretty terrible. Booing great jits etc.

So they're basically filled with UFC fans. I can understand your dislike, up here it's rare to get fans out right booing but the disinterest is almost worse. I still remember seeing the Anderson/Griffin fight in a bar and the whole place erupting when Griffin got KO'd. Moments like that when you're surrounded by people are awesome.

It's pretty bad when the standard for 'knowledgeable fans' as mentioned by rogan/goldie, is some semblance of applause from the crowd for some sort of grappling move.

Roughly 5 a year. Get a group of us together and watch them. The rest are streamed or downloaded after the fact. My friends aren't big into MMA so it's pretty rare when I get a decent group of us together. The fact that Zuffa is having an event every week now isn't helping their cause

The funny thing is illegal downloading is the only way old MMA used to be watched, so I find it mildly ironic that's it's such a big deal now when that's how the sport was able to grow to begin with. To even watch old events, it was literally mandatory to download some show a week after the fact. At least, that's how I watched MMA back then. It was just too obscure.

Never bought one. The few I do actually watch I'll check out on vipbox. If I could actually get a group of friends to hang out to watch one we would order it. I usually only stream the cards that I have a lot of interest in. Others I don't care about missing. Like the Davis/Evans one I won't watch in all likelihood because I'm not really a fan of either.
