I'm not even a Nick Diaz fan, can go back in the thread and check on that but Condit turned what should've been an epic fight into some pussy point scoring shit. GSP, Dominick Cruz, and a few other fighters get a ton of hate for doing the same thing. Condit isn't going to get a free pass.

Condit's game plan said to me that he knew he was outclassed. Outclassed on the standup, outclassed on the ground, outclassed in the grappling. The only area Condit saw an advantage was to kick every time Diaz got near and run away if that didn't work.

It's like finding a cheat code in a video game. Yes, technically you won but should you really feel like you are the better fighter?

And the fight metric is misleading. Diaz dominated above the waist and had the only takedown. Leg kicks are only annoying and don't stop fights.

I disliked Condit for his freakish nipples but I dislike him even more now.

Same. Big Condit fan, but fuck him for making this shit suck. Normally he doesn't follow game plans at all and that's why people love to see him fight.

I hate this attitude. I won't defend Condit's strategy at all...I found the fight dissapointing. He didn't fight to win, he fought to not lose...which I never really enjoy watching. Leg kicks aren't "annoying"...leg kicks take away a huge portion of your game. If you're a wrestler and I leg kick your lead leg...your shots will suck. If you're a boxer and I take out that lead leg...you have no jab and your power shots will fade. Leg kicks are the body shots of MMA and nobody wants to talk about it. They can change the entire strategy in a fight if they're successfull. Just because you've never been hit with a real leg kick, doesn't mean they're weak. A good leg kick can even end a fight (hi2u Crocop v Yoshida)

Yeah, leg kicks were proven to be important on the scorecards again once Aldo/Faber happened. That fight reminded people on the devastation of leg kicks (again). Plus Barry has stopped a couple fights with leg kicks too.

The issue this time is that Condit put nothing behind them.

aldo destroyed faber with leg kicks, matt hughes destroyed renzo gracie. they def work, but condit could have done that for 5 more rounds and i doubt it would have changed much. they didnt seem too brutal, and a chunk of them were getting checked. i remember he opened against dan hardy with the same leg kicks and when hardy fired back they were twice as powerful. i want to see the natural born killer get his kill on, not fucking run and spin. i just cant get over feeling robbed of what should have been an awesome slug fest featuring brilliant jits.

The same people applauding Condit for his "perfectly executed game-plan" will be the same ones complaining when GSP wrestlefucks/jab of dooms him for five rounds. I'm gonna quote this post the second that shit happens here.

lol, you can hate on diaz for his antics, but people that hate on him for his fighting style are the king of clown mountain.
