Longest ten seconds of Mir's life lol.
Longest ten seconds of Mir's life lol.
oh shit just saw that wedrum is fighting mike russow in june. winner shoudl def get cain for #1 contender. GO RUSSOW
Liddell, finish this.
Good man.
i honestly thought mir was just flopping around to try and pull jds into his guard. oh god that was bad
that last hammer fist is hilarious on the replay
The fuck was that little bitch punch from JDS at the end lmao!?
I was worried there was gonna be another Nog moment there, but JDS wasn't as dumb and just walked away.
Weak end to the main event though the shot that knocked Mir down was really cool looking. Was VERY glad to see Cain completely fucking maul bigfoot, good god so much fucking blood.
lol.
Sick night of fights, I got genuinely pissed off when they wouldn't let that Brazilian kid get in the octagon with JDS.
Pretty sure he owes some credit to Mike Russow.
Wow though.. sad about Lavar Johnson breaking his arm. That fucking sucks, I hope he comes back and recovers. Again.. holy fuck did Cain not waste any time at all. That insta-take down had to be the most ridiculous shit I have ever seen in terms of HW's. Bigfoot's head/face looked even freakier covered in all that blood.
cain is a scary, scary monster. unfortunaely jds's strength is the foil to what seems to be cain's one weakness: his chin.
though to be fair, the claims that cain's got a suspect chin has been on the basis of him having been knocked around by cheick kongo and junior dos santos, two very hard hitters. that's like saying someone's jiujitsu is in question cos they were submitted by frank mir or big nog. bottom line though it's been proven his chin can't stand to jds's boxing so he's gonna need to work faster to get jds to the ground, which won't be easy either given jds's takedown defense.
all in all i would still say cain is the more skilled fighter in the sense that he's more well-rounded and has more ways of winning than jds does, but unfortunately jds's strengths are exactly the things one would need to foil cain so we'll see. i'm really looking forward to the rematch.
The shot that knocked Cain down against JDS was right at the orbital, not chin. Cain did NOT look himself coming off that injury, it was his first fight. Even now I think it's too soon, he made quick work of big foot, I think he should fight someone else.. but unfortunately there is NO better person to fight JDS so they are going to really force this very soon. :/
Either way at the post fight presser, Cain says he's ready and looks much more confident then he did around the title defense vs JDS.
Getting hit in the head = chin.
Nobody says Hunt has an amazing neck after the Cro Cop fight. They say he has an amazing chin. That's the lingo.
Every HW at every post-fight conference, even Cain himself, says the exact same thing about JDS. His foot work makes it nearly impossible to take him down and that's the only position I see Cain having any chance. Doesn't matter who's more well-rounded if your strength completely outclasses and nullifies everything your opponent has to offer.
Either way I still don't think Cain looked himself at all before the fight, during, etc. He only half ass attempted one shot before getting finished. I think he should just bullrush JDS to the ground instantly without even letting him get up or even move with pressure, instead of opening the fight standing. Either way I will always be a fan of Velasquez. I can't wait to see him fight again, title shot or not.
He came in fat and out of shape, but JDS wasn't looking too hot for that fight either. Both came in with injuries.
JDS always looks the same for every fight to me, cept his old fights when he use to grow his hair. Cain.. just didn't have that murderous look that night at all and just did not look motivated to (as usual) give his opponent absolutely no chance at all at winning, just take all hope from them and destroy them. That's what I am hoping he goes back to, he's best at that.
lol @ big country saying JDS was afraid to take his punches.
