Sonnen UD, Brazil bombs Oregon.
Sonnen UD, Brazil bombs Oregon.
i dont see how sonnen repeats anything close to his performance in the first fight.
Also, Etim out for the J'Lau fight :/
People seem to be worrying about Yves Levine reffing this match and were hoping for Josh Rosenthal. I agree that Rosenthal is probably one of the best ref's out there, I can't even recall a single bad call from him recently or at any time.
Honestly though when it comes down to it.. who gives a fuck. All about the fight itself, I think Andy is going to break Chael and make him cry by the end of the night lol.
I don't either. He fought the perfect fight. I don't see Chael droppping Anderson in the first again. People talk about Sonnen's wrestling being the main reason for his win, and it was. But it was set up by the fact that he outstruck Silva in nearly every exchange after that first bomb.
Will definitely be a PPV I'll actually buy. Want to watch everything in the crispyest quality possible.
Why are you guys not giving the gangster from West Linn Oregon a chance in this fight. When you see him you are looking at the reflection of perfection, the one that gets all your attention.
You're looking at the man with the biggest arms, the man with the greatest charm.
(hilariously, one of the smallest fighters there is the only one to have fought at HW)
Chael Sonnen(R) is gonna run away with this one imo.
The fuck did I just watch...
Lost my shit at Sonnen part, and lost it even harder at Fedor stipulation.
What do you guys think of Erick Silva? People hyping him up too much? The way he handled Charlie Brenemman, would like to see him against Rory instead of Bj Penn...
Brenneman's a good fighter. Maybe he can fights Koscheck or something next, and we'll see if he continues to work his way up.
his wrasslin was surprisingly excellent against Brenneman, fought off most takedowns, popped up instantly when his feet got sucked out, sprawled hard and spun to the back beautifully at the end. very aggressive jiu-jitsu mixed with higher-end wrestling and an active GnP game, mean combination
his standup is more flash and power than solid technique though. wonder what's gonna happen when he fights someone he can't grapplefuck or overwhelm with aggression
Didn't he drop Carlo Prater pretty easily and early? I think he also hit Brenneman a few times before he went for the kill, but I forget because of all the TD attempts Brenneman shot for lol.
Prater was a gimme. He was pretty boss like 5 years ago, but he's nothing now.
Tbh Brennemans wrestling wasn't amazing, Rick Story's just happens to suck.
Which wrestler do you guys think would be a good test?
Edit: O wait you mentioned Koscheck, that's a good one. Would naming Fitch be too soon? Still shocked @ what Hendricks did to him lol.
