I'd really like to see Forrest and Stephen Bonner coach a season as both of their farewell fights. Not hating on Pettis and Cerrone fight, but Pettis deserves his title shot, DW did him dirty imo.

Pettis took the Guida fight because it's how he brings in his money. Dana gets blamed for the most random things, it's hilarious sometimes.

It's more the judges fault for calling the Edgar/Maynard 2 fight a draw. Dana really didn't have a choice. Bad timing for Pettis.

Dana/Joe Silva are at fault for giving Edgar the rematch with Benson and log jamming the belt even further though. That shits just dumb.

But in the interest of fairness, if anyone deserves a rematch for a belt they've just lost it was Frankie, he hadn't denied anyone a rematch during his reign.

I'd hope not. He should have lost the first Penn fight and a draw isn't a win. He seems to be the man when it comes to rematches though.

It's funny, the LW division would look completely different right now if the judges would've given the fight to BJ Penn the first time around. I still think he won that one.

Maynard probably would've beaten BJ I think. But yeah, the division would look much different... Definitely would've gotten a larger number of fighters fighting for the title.

You could say the same thing about the HW division as well though if Brock wasn't given the Couture fight when Nog was interim champion. Mir wouldn't have been as highly regarded, and as a result, neither would be Brock. Shit happens though and history gets written for the victor, regardless of the externals.

Actually now that I think about it, you could probably say the same thing about LHW if Forrest wasn't given the decision over Rampage for ineffective leg kicks. Could've been much different.
