This 'KO' was a bit different but I think I remember Bader basically saying in an interview he wasn't aware of what he was doing after that punch so he was basically doing the knocked out with your eyes open zombie routine.

5 round fights need to be stated so in the contract. Machida/Bader only became a #1 contender after the fans complained about vera/shogun being #1 contender and the complaining happened well after the contracts were signed. There are also time issues being a fox card which limits the number of rounds you want to have

If it's possible to gain respect from a loss I think Vera did himself very well this fight, I think people will be interested in him for future fights. He would have smashed Bader tonight and that might be a good next fight for him too.
