Anderson offered to fight a LHW (not jones) on 8 days notice but they had already cancelled the event by the time the UFC heard that. Not sure if they would have done that or not but I would have liked to see that anyway.

If you lose twice to the champ it's game over for you in that division. Machida needs to be as prepared as possible because so much is on the line. I was surprised when Dana said that Machida would be fighting on 1 months notice because it would be unlike him to take such a risky fight on about 1/3 the preparation. Vitor has a better shot than Sonnen so at least that's a plus since that fight was even considered.

a few years ago LHW was an amazing, stacked division.Its just gotten cleaned out like a mofo and the old guard has gotten VERY old. 155 is the only division that can maintain its stackedness

He initially was given a title shot coming in as a injured replacement himself. A few weeks ago he was talking shit about Machida being his worst PPV draw, only to turn down a fight with Chael who's coming off the biggest fight in UFC history, and fight Machida a few weeks later. Then when that collapses Jones agrees to fight Vitor? Someone who hasn't been a LHW in 3-4 years lol.
