Penn is primarily a reactive fighter, he reacts to what his opponent does and that generally works just fine because so many of his opponents, Sanchez, Florian, Stevenson, followed rigid gameplans that didn't evolve at all over the course of the fight. Edgar is much more unpredictable, kicking when you expect him to punch, punching when you expect him to shoot, and throwing on takedowns when you expect anything but one. Maynard isn't nearly as varied but in the opening stages of their fights he showed more unpredictability, jabbing but then throwing lead hooks and lead right straights instead of jabs, punching out of the crouch, that flying knee when Edgar thought punch and ducked.
Also Penn is a flat-footed fighter, mostly linear. straight forward, straight back, lots of head movement and good angles for his punches but Frankie was making him reset his feet constantly with the lateral movement and B.J. don't fight well unless he's set i.e. Diaz annihilating him once Penn got on his bicycle. Maynard actually has better movement than Penn, and significantly, more power. Penn hit Frankie with some good, clean strikes in both their fights but it just didn't register the way Maynard's did.
and, finally, outside of the opening 2 rounds where Gray caught him he lost almost every one of the next 8. Penn won about the same numbers of rounds
BJ won the first fight anyway.
Aldo X Edgar is going to be sick; Aldo wins though, of course.
Palhares vs Lombard(Australia card) and Weidman vs Boetsch on the 29th, I'm assuming for #1 contender. I don't see Palhares losing again, and I want to say Weidman is going to fucking dominate but there's something about Boetsch that tells me it won't be as easy. Good fights, pretty excite!
Also, Ian McCalls wife is fucking HOT:

His mustache is hotter
Paul Harris vs Lombard is a pretty sweet fight. Battle of the beefed out no-neck motherfuckers.
Words of a Maynard x Lauzon fight @ UFC 155.
Unless Joe pulls some shit out of his hat like this:

Maynard's gonna stomp him.
I think J-Lo wins if he can manage to not let Gray do him like Pettis did (in other words, if he keeps his guard up).
Also, Rampage out of UFC 153. =/
i dunno how many of you guys follow boxing but Andre Ward beat the living shit out of Chad Dawson knocking him down three times before the stoppage. cleaned out the middleweight division, decides to fight the #1 fighter and P4P entrant in the weight class above him and puts in a totally dominant performance
watch out PBF and Manny a new pound for pound king approaches
Maynard is going to maynard the shit outta Lauzon unless he pulls some other ridiculous sub out his ass.
Aldo and Rampage both injured and out... FUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCK
Aldo was sort of a given, with the motorcycle accident. Hope someone steps up and fights glover, for now maybe we get to see Frankie vs. Uriah at 145?!
On top of that, how fucking Trolly would it be if Chael took the Glover fight, in motherfucking Brazil!? FUCK I HAVE A BONER NOW
Fuck man, I was really looking forward to the Aldo fight. That dude is so injury prone, you'd think his handlers would keep his ass off a bike.
They should seriously stop announcing the fight card until like the Thursday before the event.
Also does this mean the main event for UFC 153 is Fitch vs Erick Silva?
If there is a god, Fitch will be Hendricksed again.
