Also, the whole "If Shogun beats Gustaffson, he is getting Jones next" is kinda BS. After he was undecided between Machida (Bader) and Shogun (Vera) - for who would get next title shot - and Machida had a "more impressive" win, the title shot was his. Then UFC 151 happened, Machida gets sidelined, Chael Chaels his way to a title fight, and Shogun gets next belt fight if he beats Gustaffson. Dan Henderson SOL.

No word on if Gustaffson gets next belt fight if he beat Shogun, unless I misread something.

Wouldn't be surprised if Machida x Henderson shows up in a card soon (royally fucking Gustaffson), but it's becoming increasingly difficult to predict shit nowdays. Make no sense anymore.

It's not surprising the LHW division is in such disarray for a true contender after Jon Jones ran through it's former champions. We're talking about a division where the belt was being rotated around a select few without building up any new contenders before Jones showed up. That's why there's the scramble to push Gustaffson, Texeira, and a few others onto the main card.

EDIT: If I remember correctly, Jones himself wasn't even an original contender for the title and was a replacement for someone who got injured.

It was supposed to be Rashad vs Shogun. Rampage was offered the fight but didn't take it because he was fat.

It could be the fan boy in me but I believe the only match up at the moment should be Machida vs Jones 2 other than that it should be Hendo.
