I still can't believe Cain knocked Junior down. People have been posting the most horrifying shots of JDS getting hit.

Last few mins of round 5, what a way to end it.
jesus what a shot...that is an amazing pic. lol
edit: not to mention his jaw was already broken...that sucks so bad
I feel bad for JDS.
He took such a beating. Props to Cain, he went in hungry and you can tell he trained hard for this.
Amazing it went the distance.
not only did it go the distance but he seemed to get a 2nd wind in the 4th & 5th rounds and actually got in some good shots. that is one tough, tough bastard... he's not anywhere near done cleaning house in ufc yet.
and for cain to so thoroughly brutalize a guy who's run roughshod all over the rest of the heavyweight division... i always said that cain was still the best heavyweight and just had a bad night last year, i think he proved it. guy's a monster.
oh p.s. actually it was reported during the post-fight conference that jds's jaw was not broken.
Pictures of a guy getting hit are really bad indicators of how hard the shot was. Check out the slow motion videos of how a persons face looks when they simply get slapped. Their entire face wobbles around like crazy but it happens really quickly so you don't notice in real time. Doesn't mean the punch/kick wasn't hard it's just you can't really tell from the snapshot.
can't wait for the rubber match. they both know now exactly how to beat each other, and exactly how they can be beaten by the other. 3rd fight is going to be war.

I think this picture tells you how hard he was hit. Again, JDS is awesome, it was pretty crazy watching him take this kind of damage since it's basically never been done.
If JDS chin wasn't broken in the first round like we heard...I have to question a third fight for a good while. Cain's knee was obviously trash in that first fight, he just felt pressure on himself from being the main event on the first big FOX card and fought anyway. I can respect that, as a fighter and as a man, but it wasn't a good business decision. I wish he would have pulled out, even if it was last minute (which is what I've heard). That sucks to do on that magnitude of a card, and we have seen this year what can happen if all the stars align in a bad way, but it would have been smarter on his part. He could be undefeated with a pretty weak division and nobody to really even make a super fight with at 205.
I don't see another HW that can beat JDS either though. If I were him, I would bring in some olympic caliber wrestlers and have them work me to death for the next 6 months. Maybe bring Brock Lesnar down or fly up to him. Keep doing his own boxing training, but just get used to defending freakishly strong wrestlers with unreal motors.
edit: @ Blarg: Oh I know the pics are bad indicators, but I remember those shots. lol
boetch took quite the beating as well, though not as bad as jds

I wonder who has lost the most blood in the UFC.
Bonnar, Forrest, Bigfoot, one old boy that got choked unconscious by Babalu.
Probably Struve.
