    If his opponent is actually Alves and Fitch wins, this will probably propel him to number one contender status again when GSP beats the winner of Swick vs Hardy. Not to mention this fight should be awesome.

    fitch alves should be great but if fitch wins my interest in a gsp fight is really low. I just don't think his style will ever work vs gsp.

    GSP and Silva have just decimated their weight classes. I honestly don't know anyone offhand that I think could beat them at their weight.

    It's even worse with fitch because there really is no 'maybe he will submit or ko gsp' It basically has to be a grind out decision win and gsp can win rounds far easier. Maybe in a few years anthony johnson could be ready and would present the 'maybe he ko's him'. If maia could cut to ww and got more experience that could be fun to see. Bit of a longshot but if Kos makes some big improvements, re sharpening his wrestling to the point that even gsp can't duck a punch and take him down, then that could be interesting.
