Damn that door in the TUF gym was cheap.
So many good fights getting canceled or changed around.
Stylistically, that's a terrible matchup for Cain. I love Nog though and want to see him vs Lesner, so I'm all for it.
Spoiler: show
marcus jones pisses me off sometimes. his athletic ability and size and he decides to go from making tons of money in the nfl to being mediocre in mma.
Why would choosing to make less money make you mad? The dude probably has tons of money saved away.
Anyway, I've liked big baby since the third or fourth show, he is interesting and an all around nice guy. He still suffers from that big man awkwardness which we got to see a bit of in the striking where he did the zombie thing like rampage said.
So, it's only 3 days away now, we should probably get off UFC for a second and talk about this sweet card:
Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Rogers
* Heavyweight bout: Fedor Emelianenko vs. Brett Rogers
* Middleweight Championship bout: Jake Shields vs. Jason Miller
* Light Heavyweight bout: Gegard Mousasi vs. Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou
* Heavyweight bout: Fabricio Werdum vs. Antonio Silva
It's free, it's stacked, and I'm pumped. I love watching Fedor and Mousasi, and I always felt that Mayhem should be much more high-profile in the U.S. than he has been, he's (in my opinion) the most entertaining BJJ specialist out there. I really hope he beats Jake Shields.
Hopefully the refs don't suck (the major network exposure always makes me nervous) but this should be really entertaining.
I'd like to see Mayhem win too.
Otherwise, I see all the favourites winning.
I'm really excited for this strikeforce card. Is it a 2 or 3 hour card?
Fedor by Brett just not being very good
Shields by winning 3 rounds, probably first 3, and fading late but still getting the judges nod.
Mousasi by being great on the ground and sokoudjou not being great there
Werdum by being better at bjj
I think it's 2 hours. There's like 7 undercard fights or something but I don't think they're televised (at least not on network).
Also, whoever failed to name Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva "The Brazilian Lurch" instead failed.
Fedor via KO
Mayhem via dec.
Mousasi via sub
Antonio vs TKO
Fedor> Rogers
Shields>Miller
Mousasi>Soukoudjou
Silva>Werdum
Anyone disagree?
Mayhems going to get outwrestled, Souk is a great future prospect with horrible management, and Werdum off the roids is hapless.
Weigh-ins going on now for the Strikeforce show. MMA Live is covering it. Big John, King Mo, Scott Smith are the guests. Fedor isn't there yet, so they changed around the order of weigh-ins since he was supposed to go first.
King Mo seems a bit humbled by all this...even shy. Have not seen him before and was a little bit surprised at his personality.
Sengoku is starting right now, pretty good card. A strikeforce challenger card was on earlier but I only saw the end of it. With these 2 and strikeforce on tomorrow it's a good weekend of fights.
mike schiavello will likely piss me off with his commentating that got old many shows ago.
