The more I think about nog vs cain the more I think that Cain can with this. Cain was required the wrestle the last 2 fights because his opponents had 1 hit ko power. When cain fought lesser strikers he was able to show some pretty good striking of his own. With nog being fairly hittable and not having 1 hit power I think cain can keep it standing and maybe win a close decision. Whatever the outcome this could be one of my most looked forward to fights on the next few cards.

Dunno if any of you guys have been reading about the fight that got pushed off the Strikeforce card or not since nobody has mentioned it. It really sucks for these guys that the fight got cancelled "due to time" when they could have just had it after the Fedor fight. The UFC has done that several times when opening bouts have ran longer than expected. I just cannot fathom how this could happen during a big night like this. Mark Miller and Deray Davis deserved to fight...deserved the sponsership money that they aren't going to get now...and the win bonus that one of them would have gotten.

You work your ass off for months for a fight on a big card like this, you sell tickets to your friends and family, you sell all the sponserships you can get to pay your camp and bills...then you get nothing except your show money. Most of these guys get more than double their show money in sponsership money...and these guys won't now. It just sucks and I hope that Strikeforce does the right thing here and puts them on the next show with a bit of a raise.

That's terrible. Just have it after the main event. When I went to Affliction 2 there was a fight like that - great fight with a spectacular knockout - that occurred after the Fedor/Arlovski fight.

Sure, some of the crowd was filing out afterwards, but they missed out. To cut a fight entirely? I don't understand that.

yea read about that earlier, apparently miller didnt even get his sponsorship money. really sucks. apparently there was a half hour between the chick fight and the start of the main card, could have easily put the fight in there or after fedor

It seems fighting after the main event was considered but then they couldn't do that. I don't know if they had to be cleared out from the arena by a certain time cause there was another event that needed to be set up. The fact that the whole event went late and that this fight was canceled makes me think they are related.

The UFC is awesome when it comes to this sort of thing. When Sam Stout and Filipe Nover had they bout cancelled due to Nover's seizure, Dana paid them both (including match win bonuses).

Yeah I thought that was super classy on Dana's part. You may not like the UFC or Dana...but they do right by their fighters. It just sucks that these guys missed out on a ton of money that they were probably counting on to pay bills.
