I'm glad he won, well deserved. I can't wait for some upcoming fights with him. Rothwell/Big Country rematch in the UFC? I didn't see Rampage at all, was he there tonight and what did Rashad mean when he told Roy he had to stick with his team?

Brendan is part of Greg Jackson team, as is Rashad. That was probably what he ment.

Overall good fights, Roy will be interesting to see compete.

Marcus jones really needs to learn how to do takedowns properly. Yeah, he took the guy down a bunch of times, but running at people with your head down is a recipe for disaster. Good thing the other guy was as bad of a fighter as he is.

I cant see either of them making against someone who has been training for a year, part time.

Also, is the kimboplex considered spiking of the opponent on the head or neck? If so, it would be against the unified rules.

I can't believe no one realized that was gonna be a DQ, especially Rogan.... it would have been the wrong call if they gave Jones the win. Regardless what you feel about the rules, the fight ended on an illegal blow = loss for the person that caused it.

Jones will be back stronger than ever and he will know the rules as well.

Also Kimboplex is not spiking... see the slam in Marquardt-Leites to see an illegal spike (even though I don't think he lost a point for that).

Hamill didn't stay down because of elbow #27, he was done because his shoulder was fucked. Elbow #27 wasn't more or less devastating than 1-26. I assume Hamill thought the fight was called by the ref at that point, considering he couldn't see or hear anything -he was in no rush to get up.
