I was just wondering if anyone else is experiencing a similar problem with SLI enabled in SLI. Essentially when I'm zoning via Warp, teleport, or outpost I get this strange flickering during the loading screen. Completely non-existent in single GPU mode. I've played with frame rendering modes and what not, and have been unable to come up with a solution. What I'm really looking for is anyone else who's had the same problem so I know my card isn't toasted.
I made a short video to demonstrate:
YouTube - SLI flickering in FFXI GTX 295
I'm running an Nvidia GTX295 with no overclocks on an Intel C2D 2.66ghz with Intel motherboard(pcie2.0) w/ 850W PSU. I tried same cpu on an old Nvidia motherboard(pcie 1.1) w/ different ram and power supply but it's still persisting. Also, I've been "updating" drivers on this thing as soon as they come out in hopes that it gets resolved (currently on 190.38.) Been happening since I bought the card which had drivers 181.20 at the time.
I think my card may have issues, because when I play GTA IV in single GPU mode, it's a lot smoother when rotating the camera around than when it's in multi-gpu mode. The only saving grace I have is that neither FFXI or GTA4 are SLI enabled games, yet they seem to be the only games (so far) that I have troubles with.
