Yeah I got it earlier, the quality was pretty good

Kinda liked all the tracks although the intro/ending, The Son of Flynn and CLU tracks I liked the most I think.

Just watched the original for the first time, I typically HATE older movies, the poor quality makes it difficult for me to watch.

But! I fucking loved this movie, makes me even more excited for Legacy, trailers look amazing and actually make sense to me now, yay!

That's actually kinda surprising to me.. We used to go visit my cousin's as kids when I was younger, and one of the movies I always wanted to watch was Tron (along with Aladin). This was like over 15 years ago though, and having watched it again recently, I can honestly say I don't know what my younger self saw in the original...

I just watched the original earlier this week. While I found the story to be interesting, there were a lot of moments that were completely dull due to those amazing 1982 special effects not quite aging well. Small complaint, but it happened enough for me to play games on my iphone while watching the movie & not miss out on anything. I lol'd hard @

Young Jeff Bridges was hot, too.

Looking forward to seeing the new movie.

Same for me, I kept pausing and getting up so I wouldn't fall asleep. Got interesting at the end, and my interest has gone up a lot for the sequel this coming week. Can't wait to see the effects and hear Daft Punk's soundtrack.

    Tron Legacy

I'll sum it up like this.

Wow... damn good movie, and hats off to Disney for finally making a ballsy movie like this after all these years. The original Tron was always known for having certain religious overtones in it's story, and this just takes it to the nth degree. I suspect we'll be seeing a lot of debate over this film over the next few weeks. Also, for those of us familiar with the original movie, there are a LOT of homages to the original.

Was going to see it last night but tickets sold out at the good theater, hope it'll be impressive tonight.

Went to the IMAX 3D midnight showing, was a really enjoyable movie. The plot left something to be desired though.

My preference would be IMAX without the 3D, since the glasses get in the way.

Unfortunately I don't think you can watch it in IMAX without the 3D these days.

Honestly, the 3D in this was nice but didn't blow me away like Avatar's did. Either way, I do recommend seeing it in IMAX 3D for full effect.

Saw it on UltraAVX at my local cinema. Good movie, kinda wish they delved a little deeper into the relation of the characters within the grid rather than it just kinda being a side thing, but I guess I was wanting something more philosophical than a straight-out action flick.

At any rate, 3-D was a meh for me, it seemed like a last-minute effort. They even had a warning at the start of the film stating not all scenes are shot in 3-D. Was also a lot of 'forcing you to look at this' via depth-of-field moments which I absolutely hate in 3-D films as its hard on my eyes.

Unrelated to the movie, that will probably be the last time I view a film under an UltraAVX system. The subwoofers set up at my location are way too fucking loud. Could feel it through my entire seat, and it was hard on my ear-drums. The digital projector was damn crisp at any rate, almost comparable to IMAX 3-D.
(granted I'll take RealD over IMAX 3-D any day just because I can relax/tilt my head slightly and not have the two images separate)

    Spoiler: show
Anyone else flinch on the shot where Tron shot the grapple hook into the camera?

Just got home from seeing it.. I went raw-dog, no IMAX no 3D, and it was fine as is. Unlike the first movie, which because of its time had a more techy edge, this one was MUCH more philosophical/religious like Kimiko mentioned. That's all I'm gonna say at this point - I'm not even gonna do spoilered nuggets yet. Definitely worth seeing if you're a fan of the original, or a fan/child of the 80s.

Saw it last night, amazing movie and soundtrack. We actually went to a 2D showing, but the audio was fucked up so bad that we were unable to enjoy the movie. Background noise was really high and you could barely hear them talking. Got pissed and walked out to get a refund. Manager told us that other theaters were having similar problems with their copies too. He apologized and said we could watch it in 3D for no charge. Movie was great in 3D, I recommend paying extra for the experience, but I'm sure it can be enjoyed as much in regular format. One could probably enjoy this if they never watched the original movie, but for me it felt like it helped in some parts. Just find it online like I did.

    @Kaisha
    Spoiler: show
I did not, but my wife and friend kept laughing when Tron was on screen, they kept joking that the noise coming from his helmet was a cat purring...
