    Well, I didn't get the general "this is working as intended"
    Instead, he said he was going to submit a bug report and that they'd contact me with the results of the investigation via POL.

    Well, to state the obvious, its not the CS rate itself. I did a re-test on Lesser Colibris since I actually had CS data from a test I did over a year ago and the CS rate came back the same.

    I did see an unexpectedly high rate of getting interrupted while casting simply due to not countering. The only 2-3 times I 'seemed" to counter while casting was possibly game graphics lag since I had 'just' started casting when I countered.

    Either we are only countering at the very start of the cast or the lag made it seem that way and actually the real-time counter had occurred prior to the casting animation, but appeared to be right after.

    Still no matter how often I tried, after about 10% into the cast, I would never counter an attack.

    well, that explains well why i saw less counter on critical times.
    first floors of salvages went np with normal counters. sometimes bad streak, but that's how counter allways been anyway

    then chariot teached me to not cast utsu ichi...

    Yeah, I was using another character and dualboxing the Cointeach camp in Xarcabard, didn't seem to have any issues with or without counterstance. But I may not have noticed it due to not playing monk much, and now that I think about it I did seem to be getting my ass kicked a lot more than I would expect when trying to put ichi back up.

    "Working as intended" GMs will submit a bug report to the devs if you ask them to.

    /war etc means more damage yea, but not everything ingame is about meripo

    there are stuffs call salvage, einherjar or even limbus if you ever do them

    Hell, I remember how bad I used to hate /nin back in the day. Now I'm on it 95% of the time and for a good reason. Its fuckin awesome. I wouldn't be tanking any chariots on /war. And as for events like Ejar and Limbus, all I used to do was soak up a bunch of mp and when the reserves ran dry I'd end up eating shit and then watching everyone catch up on the damage and then go further while I'd sit and wait on weakness.

    that's why i said for everything. /nin for stuff when it isn't necessary or optimal rages me. (like /nin for certain salvage zones)

    Hmm like what zones, because my group uses 2 mnk/nin in all zones and i dont see how mnk/war can work if you are doing bosses, well maybe zhayolm that boss is gimp but still, looks too much pain for healers not being /nin on salvage as mnk if you are tank.

    everything but arrapago. don't get me wrong - with some setups, /nin is better - like with one healer setups. but when you have like rdm brd whm mnk dd thf, <3 /war. counterstance tanking with /war is sooo good for cutting down kill times. basically, if your setup is competent and can handle keeping a mnk/war alive comfortably and it helps you do more NMs + mega boss, you should do it.

    idk, i just get irritated with people defaulting to mnk/nin for everything without looking at setup and target mobs :\

    was wondering why I kept dying in Campaign and even on gasp a salvage boss today.

    I never, ever die on a salvage chariot ever. Today the arrapago remnants chariot bopped me. I also had problems low manning limbus because I always counter when casting ichi when I have counterstance and counter earring up.
    Hopefully this issue is fixed and not another dumb ninja nerf.
    Its funny because I did not not realize how much counterstance actually saved me from dying until I stopped countering almost completely.
    I do counter I believe, just not as much.

    Well great...broken counters, and today we have 2 x Salvage, I guess I'll notice this.

    I really hope this isnt a ninja nerf and that they fix it soon enough, keep calling GMs.
    Edit: I called GM about this and it said the Dev team got the bug reports and investigate it currently.

    After my roomate read this thread to me, I hollered and bitched about this being something quite difficult to get hard data on but after getting up this morning and deciding to test it out myself I have to concur....

    Tried /nin in ERon [S], ladybugs, colibri, and even orcs. Counter proced once during ichi cast (with counterstance active, and way over cap on acc for these mobs, with no evasion gear at all)

    Tried /whm in Cape Terrigan, spammed barpoisonra and barsleepra, with counterstance active. Nearly died fighting a raptor, and then proceeded to bail and call a GM. GM made no mention of devs knowing about the issue, but gave the general "We'll look into it" response. Guess its better than nothing.

    Also asked about getting bant for using Yonin, seems that if you "exploit the skill" (aka powerleveling your ninjutsu skill with it, i asked about this specifically) but that should not stop you from using the skill in general. Lol@themknowingaboutshitbeingbrokebutnotfixingit.. ..

    they will gather all bugs and fix at a later date

    mass broken stuffs usually takes 1-2 weeks before they fix all at a go

    my apoc is still waiting in mog house as well ._.
