Who here is playing this?
Who here is playing this?
Does it still only have like 12 hours of content? I remember playing through pretty much everything back when they offered the free trial.
@ misterbob DDO has become free-to-play, so gonna guess, no.
lol. i played this in beta, uninstalled it 5 mins later
Can you go to Sharn and shit and actually interesting places in the Eberron setting? Stormreach was boring.
Since its free, I might give it another try. The battle system sounds revised.
I also heard a rumor they were going to convert the 3.5e rules into 4e, but I guess nothing came of that?
Battle system is exactly the same.
It's an okay game if you have a group of friends that has never played it so you don't know where everything is and the adventures actually mean something. The vast majority of the time however, you're going to be playing with people who know where everything is, jump over or run through every trap and zerg every dungeon to get the most XP possible, which to me, is boring and gay.
This game sucked 3 years ago, and it still sucks dick now.
It wasn't worth the subscription fee back in the day, but might be fun to play for free.
I would put it around the level of Guild Wars.
It's still in beta right? I was one of the first in the ddo free version beta :< think I'll log on if anyone else is on
edit: Oh maintenance too...11 maint and ddo maint shit
Holy shit, its f2p? I remember playing for a bit and enjoying at least the beginning (possibly since I had no D&D knowledge) but left shortly after for LOTRO.
ya, info is here:
DDO Goes Free to Play!
Hmmm free players are limited. Whether I try to play this game depends on whether you can return to the main land of Eberron and see Sharn and shit. Anyone know?
Don't fool yourselves, the game isn't "free".
I played the F2P beta and you get a certain amount of missions you can do (plenty until about level 5) and then after that you have to pay for adventures after that, and I'm pretty sure all the raids require money as well.
So the F2P is pretty much a preview of the game, and you have to buy adventures for like 2-5$ to play them, unless you subscribe to the game.
