One interesting thing that Ayase (I think) mentioned is that on a Pst based server, it might mean staying up a little later for Est people. But on the other hand, an Est server's prime times could be clashing with work/school related stuff from Pst members which shouldn't really be altered around a game,lol. I don't mind staying up later, Pst woo!

The reason we're going EST, as our leader has said is simple;

They have split the servers between "East and West" ... However, both servers are hosted on the East Coast, so there's no latency difference... The only difference is the siege times, if the server time is set to western, the sieges are going to happen 3 hours after eastern time.

For example:

Scrumpy Stronghold Siege Time:
Eastern server: 8pm GMT-5
Western server: 8pm GMT-8
Eastern Server Siege Eastern Time: 8pm
Western Server Siege Eastern Time: 11pm

This means basically that everything is going to happen a lot later on the western server. However, say a siege is at 3AM on the western server - it'll be at midnight western time on the eastern server.

For this reason it's a fairly safe assumption that it is advantageous for both eastern and western players to play on the Eastern server.

the siege times can start at 8pm but some won't start until 10pm (since there is a 2hr cycle on each fort, and the forts seem to be grouped up and slightly spread out) and I think (maybe) some won't even be vulnerable until 12pm (I could totally be wrong on this)

I also like how the guy you quoted from Leb, purposely didn't include time conversion for a west coast server
on a west coast server, you're looking at 8pm-12pm(pst) and 11pm-3am(est)
on a east coast server, you're looking at 5pm-9pm(pst) and 8pm-12pm(est)

people will argue it all they want which they think is better. But I know more people who stay up past midnight then people who get off work everyday before 7pm. Some people work those jobs that lets everyone go buy stuff when they get off work. So alot of people work after 5pm

I understand that, for your guys point. but I hear alot of argument from people saying west coast times are bad for everyone, which is so not true
