I really like how you can adjust the height and shit. Ever since PSO I wanted to make little kid characters.

I think it's quite clear who wins best character design here. ;p

He's such a fucking beast, I maxed his leg and arm length out. So he is as tall as you can possibly be in the game, when I had that helmet (in the SS a few posts above) it made him look like a Judge from FF.

Did it mostly just to fuck around in beta, I will be making an awesome designed character once the game actually releases though. I have a few designs in mind saved in notepad.

Not the first game where a majority of female characters are male, shouldn't surprise you that much. I, however, refuse to play a character that isn't my gender. It's just weird.

I must say, the female characters are fucking cute, especially SilverBreeze and Faytt's, almost makes me want to make one but I am too weirded out by playing a female character anymore. I tried it in WoW but after people assuming I was a girl I decided that shit wasn't for me. I honestly don't see the appeal, I thought it'd be a nice change of pace but honestly, I don't pay attention to my character model too much so it wasn't different at all. For those of you who are guys playing female characters, do you do it just because you like to stare at it or do you want to role play a female or something?

The answer i get from friends that play female characters is: "if i'm gonna be staring at my screen for hours a day, it may as well be staring at something hot"

I could never do it though, too many weirdos.

Honestly, I only play a girl because I like the way armor usually looks on them and stuff. I played a guy in FFXI for ~7 years, and since I played WoW (Maybe for 2-3 years) I've just been playing girl characters. I mean, its nice to look at a girl character too when I get bored just because I'm always sitting around doing nothing. It's more for me of a choice of do I want to look badass or cute/hot, and usually I can fall right in the middle of that with a girl char.

Most common things I hear are ...

"If I'm playing a character for hours every day I don't want to stare at a guy's ass"

If that were the case, wouldn't all us girls be playing male characters so we could oogle their muscles and stuff? Maybe it's because I'm a girl that I don't spend all my time ingame staring at my character model. With the exception of screenshots I'm usually not even focused on my character at all.

"I'm going to play a chick character so when I rape someone in PvP they'll be like -Omg that chick just kicked my ass-"

Except when the very very vast majority of characters are going to be female, played by males, everyone is just going to assume it's a dude anyway and not really give a shit. I can honestly say when I get into PvP, I look at the class, and then I start fighting. I don't stand around wondering "Hmm I wonder how big her tits are, or if she's cute.." Who the fuck cares, kill it!

It's from my experience in MMOs that I find that most guys that I know who play male characters are either married, in a steady relationship where they're probably getting laid enough that they don't care about their characters ass, or secure enough with their sexuality that playing a male character doesnt make them feel gay. Usually your typical college student/bachelor plays the female characters with the huge tits. That's from my experience though. Not saying that all guys who play chicks are virgins or what not, but if I wanted to stare at a nice ass, there's a lot better places to do it than on a video game, thats for sure

Some guys just like playing girl characters. I wish they could just admit that than constantly repeating the "omg my characters ass" line because that just makes you sound like a loser.

Eh, I think you're looking a little too deeply into this. I'm playing a female char because:
- They're more aesthetically pleasing
- I played a male character for 6 years in XI and I'm bored of it

So I was waiting for the airship to come in Sanctum when I accidentally fell off the dock. I quickly mashed my space bar and looked for the closest landing site. Succeeded in landing on one of the mountain tops in the middle of nowhere and decided I wanted to glide my way to the bottom mountain by mountain. This is what I came up with.

As for the neckbeards playing female characters, it doesn't really bother me because it's so obvious when it isn't an actual girl. We were in a big group today channel surfing/camping Chief Kumbaron. Every single person in the party were guys playing female chars, I was the only male character. Didn't even have to tell me.

I made a guy because I want him to actually look like a tank, not some super uguu beam kawaii obscure colored haired, creepy loli face.

Okay, I gave making a chick a try. Here's what I got:

think it's pretty realistic. Super tall. Huge tits. tiny waste. big purple ass. I will say that the side ponytail is enough to make me play a girl character full time. Loves me dem side ponytails.

in regards to choosing genders... typically if it's physical attackers, I make em girls because that's not "typical" I suppose. Then mages/healers I make dudes. It hard for me to explain but I just find it humorous when I see woman/girls beating the shit out of mobs while the men/boys are in the back-line

My Glad chick isn't exactly She Hulk, but I wouldn't call her a waif, either. Though I can't really say I've liked a lot of the armor looks I've had up to 20. The stuff you have in past memories looked pretty badass, though.

Kinda wanted a different hairstyle, too, but none of the ones I saw really fit with the character image I had in my head. Even the scar I picked for her face is barely visible.

Edit: And I just now started fucking with the emotes. Some made me snicker.

Edit2: Felt compelled to try and emulate a Demona from Gargoyles on the Asmo side. One thing I've found myself reminded of character editors is that too often when they have a pre-applied accessory like a hairband, you can't fucking recolor it or adjust its size/position. ALMOST had the look pulled off, but aside from hair not being as bushy, the red hairband isn't gold and sits too high on her forehead with the hair type. Q_Q
