Damn those are sexy, but not worth 12 million. April can't come any sooner..

Going to contribute some screens I snapped while exploring Brusbronin, I love the creepy atmosphere the place gave off until I found this neat little random place. Wish I had cranked my settings but I didn't think about it.

if you can hold out 4 more months (depending when u started) then you can get the black cloud wings from the veteran daeva reward system.

im assuming the colors are shimmering and as vibrant as most of the higher end gear and armor

My new desktop; went out to the far southwest of Verteron and found a very nice island and a good view of it from a nearby mountain (as well as the edge of the world)... That island in the foreground is a huge pain in the ass to get to. Several minutes of murder water, and it's surrounded by a plateau that can only be jumped over at a specific spot around the back of the island. It was fun getting there, though. This was on my Elyos alt, obviously...

Go to the southwestern corner of the beach near the flight point, and just jump out into the water. Spam the hell out of heals, running mostly straight south; you COULD run straight to the island if you're high enough level (my alt is only 16chanter, limited MP pool), but if not there's some safe underwater terrain mostly straight south. Then you can run west to the island; a lot of murder water down there, but you can find safe terrain up against the underwater plateau. Go counterclockwise until you can get all the way up. Only half the island is accessible; the otherhalf has Invisible Zone Wall syndrome, sadly. But it looks beautiful.

so i just did this and its pretty fucking awesome. pretty much follow the coastline on your left and you'll find some random patches of safe area(from what i remember) once you get to a nearly vertical sandy area you want to head straight towards the island, should be mostly safe area there though. i'm going to make a picture guide real quick so you can try it out

start here, i couldn't for the life of me find the safe zone you were talking about and i don't recommend this to anyone besides a cleric or chanter <.< i followed the left wall and just past the river you reach this area

you should be able to see a plateau extending out beneath you, follow the left side of that until you get here

then drop off. go straight into the highwall in front of you and around

here you can start climbing up towards the island. the rest is easy.
btw i did this as 37 cleric and had to spam radiant cure II to keep myself alive. once i knew the path i didn't need any pots but messing around i used up like 5. if you plan on going back without return you have to run all the way to the shipwreck to find a place you can climb up and that probably will take a mana potion or two

You can glide off the pirate ship to get to the northern part of Verteron's ocean, but if you follow the river there's a ton of murder water and lots of invisible walls, and it leads nowhere once you get past the farm. (you can glide off the damn mountain right above the farm and land on the island across from the quest NM anyways). Be very attentive of where you're going when underwater anywhere or you'll fall into a little pit and get stuck (or fall off the edge of the world and explode).

These two pictures show pretty clearly the difference between unspecialized terrain and the dreaded Murder Water. In the first shot, the right side is Murder Water. In the second shot, this is far beyond normal terrain, you can see a little sloppy terrain painting; if you stand on the Murder Water terrain, you will take drowning damage even though you're well above water. Kinda neat! The third one is another shot of the island, kinda like this one better now that I look at it.
