Still a but bummed that they haven't even updated the EU site with the new info yet. Yay for the usual 3rd world treatment.

Europe never got the PS2 version of FF11 and pc version was delayed for a year
SE should delay the game for Europe till they get the spanish language etc ingame so everyone ended up happy that's the only way to please "all" European players, i'll send them email saying so.

PS: I should know by tonight if Final Fantasy XIV will be playable at gamescom. There is also a section not for “normal” gamescom attendees, so chance is game can be playable there. My own guess is: Not playable before any official beta. If not playable I will not attend this years gamescom. If playable chances are I will go.

Special presentation, could be the dev team with a playable build displaying a couple of aspects of the game. Battles, GUI, crafts etc

I could care less to see a video of ingame "playing" at gamescom (not just the parts of the trailer) or to see the Development Team play live. I will watch that from home.

Sadly I still don´t know if it will be playable to none SEs or not, since I wasn´t able to check MSN yesterday >.<.

I think the special presentation will be nothing more than the introduction of FFXIV via trailer covering all the info we have now, they may add a few more bits of info here and there and possibly announce a beta month, but won't give details as for how to join. I'm a psychic.

Considering they're flying down the producer of FFXIV (the man behind Secret of Mana, hell yes) there's a chance more information will be shared with us.

I always thought of Tanaka as the guy who wants to share as little information as possible, while the dev team would talk about every small detail in the game for hours if they could .

Between the conferences (is there two more after next week) SE is supposed to announce the release date (hopefully) and may even mention beta schedule(s). Although I can only hope the producer will be a little more forthcoming of new information, I would not be surprised if he just rehashed what we know already. I really hope he doesn't do that.

I would love to see some in-game play footage! Even if it would just be 5 seconds. haha

I really doubt SE is going to do this, since the release is next year and they need to be starting beta in the next few months.

I have a feeling they're going to release most of the details at the TGS. However, I wouldn't doubt they'd show a nice chunk of info at Gamescon, because apparently you can see it live...I'm hoping for at least a good customization demo. lol
