Amusingly I work for TD Bank. I know in trying to use the verified by visa site yesterday it wasn't allowing it, but I'm going to see if I can do some research today.

Have a credit card through US Bank that could only be registered for Verified by Visa through the USBank website, after registering I tried to update payment info and it worked successfully.

A problem with the emulator method is that the HDD and Network Adapter have to be properly emulated, and the emulator has to be able to pass a DNAS check before it can connect to the game servers. DNAS checks the system integrity scanning for unauthorized hardware or software modifications to prevent cheating in and piracy of online games. Considering how young PS2 emulation is, and how few online games there are, I don't expect this support to be high-priority to implement.

I've seen people uploading the PS2 ISOs on BlackCats Games, which is a private torrent site. I never understood why though, considering you can't boot a burned copy to install on a modded PS2, since the DNAS check won't pass, and you can't install at all without passing the DNAS check. I have an original NA disc, plus a Promathia one and a 2008 Collection, as well as all the JP discs for the core game and seperate expansions, starting from their PS2 release (no collections).

Well, pcsx2 site says they were able to get up to the game's intro so I don't think that's the case. The online play guide they have though makes you run your DVDs on PS2 to read the DNAS, then use a special program on PC to patch the ISO using it.

Game intro could have been the FMV you get on the screen with the Install button. It needs clarification.

Regardless, give it a shot if your machine can handle it. Mine can't, and isn't even handling PC FFXI anymore since WotG screwed something up. I just knew it was an issue when I was looking into modchips and trying to find out if the HDD software or FFXI could work on an NA PS2 before they released it here and I was working with the JP version. I try to check modchip forums now and then, but to my knowledge DNAS wasn't cracked for modded systems playing out-of-region games online.

I don't own the PS2 ver of FFXI or a PS2 network disc so I can't do anything. You need a original copy to get the DNAS ^^;

I am basically having the same probably as everyone else, but my card says on the VBV site that its been blocked, no idea if that's the same as being denied or what not. Tried calling my bank to see if they have any idea about this VBV stuff but they don't seem to know why its saying my card is blocked, Visa says I should take it up w/ my bank, and my bank says they can't do anything and I should call Visa. So its just a vicious cycle of wrist cutting and the need to feed my addiction. Damn you SE, Damn you to hell.

Also my issue is I can't buy my Content ID's back which mysteriously disappeared while I was in the process of playing, I can get into POL but unable to actually play because of course I don't have my Content ID's which I can't buy because I don't have the VBV thing, I haven't changed my card number or anything, so technically according to SE I shouldn't have been affected by the card thing because I'm not a new card person been paying w/ the same card for like a year and a half now. Anyone having the same issues?


Ok so I spoke w/ SE online and they changed my billing info for me, I did not need to do the VBV thing since I did not have a new card, which you should only HAVE to do the VBV thing if you have a new card. If anyone else is having problems just make them change your billing info when you call them and then you shouldn't have any problems :D

My BF's card recently expired he was issued a new one, but apparantly Chase does not yet support the secure code, but WAMU did.... So right now he can't play. Gonna try updating through PS3 or xbox and hope that works.

If anyone in Cali does find a useable link for Chase using the securecode please post it here, my card expires in 3 months.

PS. All you retards posting and panicking about your cards that don't expire till 2014 and your bank won't support secure code till the end of this year GTFO. After getting a new card, putting it in and paying for my account, it restarts playonline viewer. Okay, whatever, least I can get on, right?

It tells me my SE PW/One Time PW is wrong. I log into the SE account management page with the password I've been using so thats not the case. After spending 7 hours talking to various web chat people that are completely fucking morons, they can't do a single thing.

Pretty much seems like now that my account is paid for, the security token doesnt generate the right numbers since none of them are recognized. So that means I can't log in, or unlink the security token from my account, because that requires me to generate a one time password (that doesnt work).

Good job SE, you fucking useless assholes.

Going through this too. A bit of reading shows that Old Chase cards (VISA) work, but the new Chase cards (MasterCard) are still being recognized as WaMu cards. Or as I like to say it, Chase is a shitty bank.
