    Peer Guardian 2 & FFXI & POL.

For a long time, I've always wondered if there was specific lists mainly for FFXI/PlayOnline.

Here are the lists I currently use. But I'm wondering if someone out there has compiled a more updated/better version. The lists below on a daily basis require me to allow new IP/ranges since I guess POL/FFXI change sometimes?

    I-BlockList SQUARE-ENIX List

Does Final fantasy XI have peer guardain 2 allow list? - Phoenix Labs

Anyways thanks in advance, if all else comes down. I guess I'll stick to just enabling as I play for however long it takes -.-

If I understand the question correctly.

I made "my own" list, opening the following:
    Start-End
    61.195.1.1-61.195.254.254
    63.241.1.1-63.241.254.254
    202.67.1.1-202.67.254.254
    219.117.1.1-219.117.254.254
    219.177.1.1-219.177.254.254

these can probably be narrowed down a lot, I was just lazy.
I put this together about 2(?) months ago, never had a problem since.

edit: just incase: I don't know how their server system works, not sure how much it matters, but you never know, I play on an EU client and on Remora, I merely worked off the assumption that everything relevant would be within those ranges.

I just set PeerGuardian to disabled when starting up POL/FFXI, and then turn it back on after I'm in-game.

I know that's not the answer you're looking for but it's a simple solution if you're willing to click disabled and enabled everytime.

Speaking of PeerGuardian, are there any problems with using on Vista or Windows 7?

PeerGuardian 2 for Vista/Windows 7 (PG2 RC1) works, but is blinded by problems.

Found this thread through Google when looking for the IP ranges to allow, and thought I'd mention Peerblock for those having trouble with PeerGuardian 2 in Vista/7 or just in general.

    Home (Peer Block)

PeerBlock is a new version (aka a "fork") of the popular Peer Guardian 2 software. It blocks "known bad" computers from accessing yours, for example governments, corporate entities, and those flagged for anti-p2p activities. Peer Block maintains the functionality of the original Peer Guardian 2 program, but includes fixes for various issues that remain unaddressed in the latest (~2 year old) version of PG2.

PeerBlock supports Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and Win7 in both 32- and 64-bit flavors.

Many thanks to the original developers of Peer Guardian! You've created a great piece of software, one that served us all well for many years. Hopefully at some point we'll be able to merge the changes coming to Peer Block back into PG2/PG3, but for now I'll be happy just with a piece of software that works well on my new Windows 7 64-bit machine.
Edit: Can confirm that using the http://iblocklist.com/list.php?list=squareenix list with Peerblock allows login with no blocked IP ranges.
