Unfortunately for me, I should probably avoid making Goblin trains to Selbina zone no matter how hard nostalgia bites. Though a little birdie told me it was a good idea after Eirenne grounded me to the zone line for misbehaving.(Not pointing fingers, birdie.)

Today was rather neat and tidy, but I got better acquainted with the friends I've made so far and one more BGer shot me a /tell much to my surprise, it was somebody I'd actually spoken with before too!

After I hit 18, I waited for somebody to finish Limbus to help me get my subjob items(You all seemed to be doing Limbus today at the same time, even if you're from different shells!), and decided to pass the time by running to San D'oria and pushed out some levels on my BLM to get it up for subbing.

I got eaten at about level 5 and had to walk back from Sandy_S, I decided to try taking on one of those VT worms in the past and succeeded, though it was kind of.. dull, so I Manafonted and just blasted it to death after poison worked it down halfway.

I feel invincible for picking on something like a worm that actually has legs and could've chased me down.

Veyron, I've already been to Garuda and know people like Euriko, Minimaru(Remora traitor), Jasinde, Wootaru, and a couple of other players I'm not sure exist anymore. When we did a killingifrit cross-server linkshell, Garuda was our server; Mameshiba made a shell and invited folks like Rylock, Balmarog, Tonka, Camui, Lucyfurr, Dragonhope, Armel & myself, and a bunch more I can't remember..(Apologies, they were mostly AOT posters though from those comics you see on the ffxidats!)

I think I'll return and say hi to Jasi though and explore, she's the only one I think still plays there. One thing I didn't like about Garuda was the auction houses always seemed so damn bare in the cardinal cities, I remember checking all 3 just to complete my lvl.16 bone set and get republic knuckles, I had to get my knuckles crafted through my Conquest Points and Jasinde getting a friend to craft(and luckily he HQ'd) me some.

Oh my, dear diary, today I made a new friend, we had a dance party in the smithing guild as I got my crafting up for my end goal on Gilgamesh.

So, today I had met my first non-endgame person that actually struck up a conversation with me on Gilgamesh, this would prove FAR more entertaining then I would have though.

At first, it kind of felt like just a little Galka bonding, but this got a little stranger as I ran off to the auction house when the guild closed down for holidays. See, dancing with strangers in the club scene can sometimes lead you into bad things, sometimes its strange alchemy powder, sometimes its other services. This time it was the latter and the next thing I know a pimp named Bungalo is offering me the time of my life with a girl named Toilet. Sadly, I decided to dodge out on my date for dynamis tonight incase Bungalo just showed up in a wig and heels, I'll send Toilet some flowers to apologize.

Today I went about making money, crafting, and meeting more people who lurk BG endlessly and warmly receive me(seriously, the non-BG ratio of people who approach or strike up conversation in any situation is slim to none, JP or EN alike.)

Unfortunately, Gilgamesh's angel/death stones are rather cheap, so the San D'oria_S Quests weren't as profitable as they could've been, but for anyone above level 10, being able to pull 40,000gil is welcome if you can make the trip back there! 80,000 should be enough to get my crafts leveled out hopefully to craft summer fest items, now I just need to take 1 key craft ahead for signing crystals, probably woodworking for furnishing.

Luckily, it was my home point in this instance, because the campaign traffic is where to find a mix of casual and campers alike, and it allows me easy access to ops and a decent alternative to the dunes.

Anyways, after letting an Orc out of a cage because I thought it would be funny, if nothing else feed my attention whoring ways; I decided to head over to Aery to explore and meet the endgame of Gilgamesh, perhaps meet some certified astronauts for a price while packing into a tight little hole in the wall.

Unfortunately, it's an early afternoon pop for today, and I am way too fucking tired to navigate Zi'Tah without any oil or powder and limited reraise. At least I made some more new friends.

I guess I'll try kings when somebody is awake to Sneak me to the zone and I get my chocobo license very soon, I doubt I would've made it past Tarantula alley anyways, but I was kind of hoping Perfect Dodge and 1 final RR would land me there.

Well, I finally hit level 20 today and took myself to Jeuno.

After a stint of crafting, fashion updating, and chocobo beating feeding, for 6 hours on/off, the windows in Aery were abuzz by word and snooping of my new friends list. So I rode out and took my evolutionary revenge on the Goblins who manhandled my ass yesterday. At 20, this trip was much easier, not only because of the chocobo license, but having the sneak spell all through Boyahda was a breeze. Maps weren't much of a problem in Zi'tah though it can get a little confusing if you overshot the tree or not to that first turn south, the Boyahda route is somehow implanted in every FFXI players mind.

Once I reached the pit, I just lagged and decayed for a window and a half before the big guy popped. Not that there was much receptive welcoming of my presence from anyone except my already-friends crowd, I still tried to warm up some of the locals with dancing stomps and I attempted to help take down the dragon.

It died down fast, some hung around for maintenance to get the double-dragon but I decided to snag a D2 after the brief after party and head to sleep!

Just one more thing on my Gilgamesh to-do list for now, and that's summer fest starting soon, perfect chance to be a little more social. Anyways, perhaps I'll hunt for Whitegate in the meanwhile, it could provide some entertainment. I'm using another mule slot for my next server while this one burns that one until my friends there get sick of me in their tells!
