    The original thread's title was misleading. There never going to be a true coup d'etat. It was a stolen election by the government to keep the opposition out of office and despite irregularities in the vote because the Faqih(Khamenei) and Council of Experts are both behind Ahmadinejad there won't be any real investigation/recount etc as to what really happened.

    Kuya, I think their society has gone past the point of accepting an American puppet government of any kind. Also, I think after 1953 and 1979 the CIA has learned that Iran is not a country it can do wetwork in.
