There was this site back then that everyone used ("Cat Attack Dynamis"? not sure) before everyone started using Fatman's DynamisBums (RIP).

Mithrankittycat's Dynamis Cat Attack (DCA) website was pretty much the original resource for all of us in the first era of NA players experiencing Dynamis.

And, yes, the player was kind of...weird.

Wasn't the first JoL pop deemed impossible to kill (impossible regen)? Then they had to ninja fix it and the next group to pop it (Pandemonium - Suiram's LS?) got the nerfed regen version. I think there was a massive BG thread on it. Another interesting case of ninja nerf.

I do remember the day BG popped Jailer of Love and it's impossible regen. It was the day I really felt the sting of not having CoP completed. It was the day I rubbed the "F5" text off my F5 key, it was the day I lost my soul, reading that thread, in essence, made me the man I am today.

One of the earliest strategies for the Dynamis Lord involved having EVERYONE who could equip a sword bring it for Spirits Within (PLDs, RDMs, DRGs, THFs, SAMs, etc.). Everyone would sleep TP to 300%, with SAMs using Meikyo Shisui right after to eke out a little more damage.

Yes, BG popped it and reported it to have a Regen that was impossible to counter with any kind of damage. Then kupo popped it and killed it a little bit later, not really sure if BG just didn't know the adds strategy or if it really was fixed.

Edit: Who remembers when those JP mnks low manned Kirin by using the teleporter glitch to boost up for hours at a time and then unleash insane chi blasts.

I am pretty sure they killed the adds more than a few times over the course of the fight. If you recall, there were those massive JP LS team-ups (Maybe it is Kupo I am thinking of, lol? 80+ people attending) needed to kill JoL. I am pretty sure it was patched, though certain as I may be I cannot say anything in full without having been there myself.

Yes Kupo did bring something like 80+ people if I remember right. Basically an army of Black mages to rotate in.

Speaking of nostalgia - Can anyone remember the first ever Relic Weapon to be completed? I know i was around when it was found, but cant for the life of me remember what it was or who got it. Was it that full Kaiser PLD with Excalibur? (I can't even remember his name)

Lei was the PLD i was thinking of, yeah. Can't remember if he was the first with a relic. Maybe it was an Apoc? I remember reading the thread on here.
