Family Guy episode pulled, too controversial...for fox?

Fox TV refuses to air 'Family Guy' abortion episode | EW.com

The folks at Fox TV are choosing to say “no” to an already-controversial-yet-unaired episode of its hit animated series The Family Guy. The Hollywood Reporter has the latest on 20th TV’s statement about the episode in question –titled “Partial Terms of Endearment”– which has already been the subject of heavy debate in the blogosphere, especially after the show's creator Seth McFarlane made some rather pointed remarks about the episode, adding that he did not believe it would ever air.
Must be pretty bad for a station like fox to pull it. Although, they did pull the Jew episode, and it really wasn't that bad. Censorship ftw?...i guess?

family guy nowadays has become more predictable. stewie's way more gay than he used to be evil, and they're random punchlines EVERYWHERE. i seriously doubt it was as bad as they made it seem. like you said, that jew episode was more of a compliment than it was an insult, imo. i wonder if this can be DL'd ; i wouldnt mind sneaking a peak lol

I want to see it too, although i know it will more than likely be a disappointment. Family Guy has degraded faster than most any other show i know of. I'll laugh hard at only a handful of things over the course of a season, whereas the first 3 were constant hilarity.

Nothing will ever compare to the instantaneous switch from amazing to complete trash that happened to Roseanne when John Goodman's Dan died.

Child abuse in every episode? Sure!
Drug abuse in a lot of episodes? Sure!
    Infanticide jokes? Not a problem!
Abortion jokes? Whoa whoa there, buddy, this is FOX, we got VALUES.

Reeks of 'publicity stunt' more than actual censorshiop but it is lolfox, after all.

They already had that 'one armed abortionist' joke during the episode when they were on the cruise. Idk what this involves, but honestly I don't even care to watch it.

Too Hot for TV, means you can download it now on FoxTV.com for just 5 dollars! Or buy this season's DVD with super secret hidden episode that never aired on TV for $19.99

There isn't much details about the episode other than Fox knew about the episode and let them write an episode about the controversial topic but then found that the episode was too much for them to handle. Only thing we know is that Lois was to have an abortion in the episode. The episode is going to be on the DVD and will most likely end up being aired on Adult Swim like "When You Wish Upon a Weinstein" was.

What I don't get is that Family Guy is allowed to make fun of Blacks, Hispanics, Whites, Jews, Germans, Christians, Catholics, the Pope, God, Jesus, Pot Usage, Pedophilia, Sex, Homosexuality, The Simpsons, 9-11, George W Bush, Physically/Mentally Challenged individuals, but Abortion is over the line?

Honestly I want to see the episode because I bet it isn't any offensive. It probably has Lois getting pregnant and then they realized that either A) they can't support another child or B) the fetus ends up showing signs of having a medical problem and they decide to abort the fetus.

In a way though, I find it funny that Nickelodeon can deal with that Zoe chick having a baby at 16 and working it into the storyline to deal with teen pregnancy on a pre-teen/teen show, but Fox who is "edgier" can't even deal with abortion.

Don't forget that trainwreck of a show "Secret Life of the American Teenager" on AMC Family. One episode they had the pregnant girl being driven to the abortion clinic and almost going through with it. I guess it's family friendly because she didn't do it though. *sigh*

yeah, its stuff exactly like this that made family guy so predictable. in the highlight of its 1st 3 seasons, you would see stuff like god plaguing peter because he made ppl worship him to get gumble to gumble back on TV, and having brian slapping him saying stuff like "god is pissed!" than 2 seasons later, hes an atheist? lol

this episode reeks of publicity stunt lol. and with that said. i will do whatever i can to see it regardless ;x

Does anyone remember the McStroke episode? That was the first and only Family Guy episode that I thought was actually offensive. It wasn't even funny, just in poor taste. I really doubt this abortion episode came close to that one in terms of offensiveness. Just a publicity stunt.

Is that the one where Peter eats too many burgers at McBurger Town and gets a stroke and later gets cured by Stem Cells in 5 minutes and says "Why aren't we funding this!"? That was a pretty hilarious episode.

    That's the one.

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?
