Just saw midnight showing.

Fucking AWESOME.

I didn't even really want to see this, from the previews I thought it would be pretty lame. Then my friend showed me the short film that it was based off and I got a little more interested. Still went in not knowing what to expect, and I was pleasantly surprised the entire way through.

Weaponry in the movie reminds me of Half Life. There's something of a super gravity gun, and a pulse gun too. Really, really awesome alien weaponry.

The aliens look awesome. There's one scene where you can see their beating 'heart" which is kinda in their abdomen. Really cool.

The whole thing was just really well done. The documentary format worked very well. Camera work was brilliant- you really felt like you were looking from the right point of view at almost all times.

There wasn't stupid dialogue, although the reason everyone could communicate fine was a bit absent.

Really seems like there will be another movie.

All in all I would say -- this lives up beyond its expectations. None of the trailers can accurately prepare you for what you are going to see. This is no Cloverfield let down.

Just got back from the Midnight Showing as well, all I can say its Spectacular. I found it to be kindah moving, which I havnt felt about a movie in a long while.

I'm going to say this movie won't do very well after opening weekend, because most people will go in expecting something totally different. That said, I really enjoyed this movie. I'd encourage you people to go out and see it.

My friend said that the piece of the ship that fell off in the clip near the beginning was the transport ship under the main alien's shack. I believe him but didn't get a great glimpes at the object or just assumed it was debris, is this true?

Also when the three aliens found the fluid near the beginning in the junk yard what the fuck did that come out of? Debris? Is this fluid just kind of some sort of energy that doubles as fuel and some sort of life force?

Also I wish more ppl in the audience laughed like I did, a lot of this movie was funny.
